not at all, »many instances« is correct, as it doesn't refer to my uploads exclusively, but also the ones i come across when i browse and i happen to either recognize them or look them up and then see around which time they were taken or published.

either way, i don't have an issue with leaving out said info, even better for me. i'm thorough by default, but it saves me time if it's not required.

again, what kind of info do you consider relevant for comments so that i have a general idea?

on the one hand yes, but there are many instances where the most »recent« available picture is several years old - one such example would be the henri belle pic from 2021, therefore i view it as important in order to date the image uploads.

what do you consider »relevant info«? that would be helpful to know.

as to packs, in principle a viable option, yes - but this was the first time i uploaded five pending pics, so never had the need to upload sets so far. i'll look into it if i have a bigger number of images for upload. 👍🏿

@Footygamer i wanted to ask you for a feature implementation, provided it is feasible - and give you some background info beforehand:

i research match officials / referees and their ids currently, in order to source portraits for them.

as an example, i pick a certain country and then go through all the competitions to see which referees are listed and which ones are missing portraits, like so:

germany - bundesliga:

the problem arises when there are officials who have not been assigned to any competitions, like in these two cases:

is it possible to add a search option for referees by nation in order to show all the referees included in the database, say i want to see all mexican or zambian referees, even if they are not linked to any competitions? a user told me that there is a total of 300+ mexican referees alone, to give you an idea.

genie scout does not have the same search option for officials as it has for players and staff, unfortunately, which means that i cannot extract the ids and instead have to rely on combining the portrait browser and fmref, but it’s impossible to close gaps that way when it’s based on guessing the names.
