i may have placed it in the wrong file now looking at it? should it go with the other ad files in the sports interactive file where my graphics are?

Thats is the correct location which means its either a graphic or an FM issues. Can you try the below

Nearing v1.4 fella?

 

Once I've made the Israeli Premier League, OFC Champions League, Polish Ekstraklasa I will release V1.4 which will be the last update for FM21. Ads for the Saudi Premier League and Scottish Cup will still be made but will not be released till V1.0 of the FM22 patch.

 

Work has already started on the FM22 patch, I am completely re-writing both xml files which is very time consuming but has allowed me to bring about some significant quality of life improvements including:

 

• Each playable nation having their own unique default ads which will show in friendlies and in competitions which have no existing adboard’s.
• For competitions/clubs which can show video ads but have none made, default video ads will now show instead of the dead black video boards.
• Several existing video adboard’s have been remade to meet the 15 second time limit within FM21 (Hopefully SI won’t move the goalposts...)
• New unreleased static and video ads have been made for several nations
• Removal of dead/unused static and video ads

 

Unfortunately, all of this work means that the FM21 version of the patch will not be compatible with FM22 and it will require a new download from scratch but it’ll be more than worthwhile.

not sure if anyone has asked this, but any chance this will work in FM20 also?

 

The patch will work with FM20 however, the static at some clubs e.g., will not display in their correct positions due to older stadium models.

Hey Rab, i finally made it to EFL league 2 with my winsford FC team, is there a generic video adboard for the league alone or are video adboards specific to teams only, what i mean by that is i've been playing against teams that have video adboards but they have the generic FM21 ads is it possible at all to replace those generic ones with just sponsors from EFL League 2

Congratulations on your promotion. Presently no video ads are coded to League 2, I’ll fix this with the next update, though only the bigger clubs will use them

thank you for your brilliant work.  i was wondering if someone could help me.  i have loaded the files and they are working, however it seems as though video advertising boards aint working.  i just have a blue strip around the pitch where they should be.

 

also i was wondering how to add sponsorships to the file.  newcastle only have 2 and just wanted to know if i could copy a few of the files and replace the image within the file with another…..would it show up?

 

Can you post a screenshot of where you have installed the video ads too?

Arminia Bielefeld adboards not displaying correctly   ( in friendly matches only ) ? Does this cause the addition "stadium edits" ?

This download is an editor file which changes the appearance of some the stadium models in the 3D match engine in FM21. The stadium edits may include changes to stadium structures, seat colours and changes between seats/terracing. Place the attached xml file into the following folder: Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\editor data

A new game is required to see these more accurate stadiums.

I can edit Rennais stadium just keep in mind that as it changes the stadium model you would have to reposition the static ads once again.

I love the pack. My absolute favourite immersion wise. But could you make and option for neutral international competition boards without the years and places? I am in 2026 WC and I cannot stand the Qatar 2022 boards, a place where it should not have been in the first place. A neutral setup for those would be great.

 

I agree and its something I will look to modify in due course

@rabcp Do the video Ad Boards in League 1 work as I'm Ipswich and all the video ad boards are generic ones, can you let me know? cheers

 

As far as I can remember Ipswich dont have thier own video ads hence why the generic ones are displaying

Can i just clarify, does the latest ad-board patch with the attached stadium edit folder contain ALL edited stadia by Rab? Many thanks.

 

It only has half the stadiums as I lost one of the file's containing them, though I am in the process of remaking them, once finished I'll upload to this thread for people

I am using Gtx1650 and I have done everything as u mentioned still I have black ads showing but club ads are showing I mean that video ads  that is Black

 

Yes I seen that but what team are you managing as not all teams/leagues presently support video adboards? Also can you attach a screenshot showing where you have installed the video ads too?

It'll be the same path 'PC: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\Preferences\version 4' however, you will need to show hidden files;

Yeah my card can cope RTX 3080, and graphics quality is set to very high. any other reason why they don't work?

What are you seeing instead on the video ads and in what competitions?

This is from the same save. Belgian league is by default..

 

I use the “non club” xml.

This is casued by the use of capital letters in folders (no idea why) ensure the following path is all in lower case letters; graphics/pictures/ads

So no work around then? I’ve tried everything and the no club xml just shows the standard ads, any suggestions?

 

Sorry but if I can’t replicate the issue, I can’t suggest a work around. From the screenshots I cannot see any reason why it is not working and have not heard of similar issues, it has me stumped!

in the download there is a “Stadium Edits.fmf” file, if you're unaware I'm guessing I dont need it… Correct?

It's an optional file which make the appearance of some stadiums more realistic in a new save

Video adboards work for Hertha or are you asking why video ads have not been made for Hertha Berlin?

The Belgian first league works fine; video ads have only just been made for the league and will be released as part of the 1.4 update

Hi rabcp, I have a problem that the bands in the stadium do not show me the LED bands yes only at greuther Fürth is that so .could you please help me that the ones of Greuther Fürth are displayed. Would be really lovely. GLG

Actually !! It was silly of me not to check the files before asking the question. Now you have to wait, and maybe someday you will make bands for the Croatian league or at least Dinamo Zagreb 🙂. Thank you and best regards.

Hi,

 

Having an issue with the video ad boards not showing. I have double checked install locations and everything seems to be in the right place, but no video ads.

Why are my video adboard’s are black?
 

If the video adboard’s do not work it can be because your graphics card cannot cope with the demand of 'HD' graphics, however, renaming the 'HD' folder 'SD' tricks the system into treating the same files as graphics which put a lower demand on your system. Also keep in mind that video adboard’s will also only display within FM21 if the match graphics quality is set to at least high (Preferences -> Match -> Graphics Quality).

I have tried playing a game with your ‘no clubs’ fm.xml file and it worked as intended, I also can’t see any issues with where you have installed the files so I'm afraid I have no idea why the ‘no clubs’ fml.xml is not working as intended for you.

Are the sizes still the same Rab? please, so I can move over my personal stuff from FM19 to this, or will I need make alterations?

And what is the fmf file for? do I need it? 

No changes to sizes, though stadium models have changed so adboards set in certain locations for FM19 wont be in thier correct positions within FM21. What fmf file?

The adboard for Dinamo Zagreb ( league match ) is not displayed, in all other games (friendly, champions league) adboards are displayed correctly. Can you verify it? Thank you.

No video ads have been made for the Croatia League, If the game has no ads to load in the video slots it just shows blank boards.

Hi! Sorry if this question has already been asked before, but i wanted to know how (if it is possible) can i change the ads from an old stadium to the newer one on an already started save.
I'm the manager of Nottingham Forest and the club decided to build a new stadium, and as a result now the ads are not showing properly and there are some empty spaces.

 

Is there a way I can put ads on the spots marked on this picture (e.g., there is a random generated flag, can i put my own ads there?)?
 

 

 

You would need to follow the below process, it can be fiddly and is case of trial and error, I'd recommend doing 1 stand at a time, though no adboard’s can be added to the highlighted spots
