n friendly matches, incorrect advertising boards (probably from the league or some Italian club ? ) are displayed. Could you check this ?

Thanks as always, brilliant work. Can I just check that the addition of a ‘europe’ sub folder within the Steam folder means that previous independent folders like Scotland etc. can now be deleted, as the config for any updated work won't point to those old folders anymore, only the new ones for nations within the update that can now be found inside Europe?

 

Am I also right in saying that any leagues not in the new update e.g. England, should remain where they are and don't need to go into the Europe folder, presumably because in time any new updates would go into the Europe folder but for now the xml still points to the folder outwith Europe?

This is deliberate, I am working on removing dead adboard’s and converting videos to the correct length, these new subfolders keep me right, no other video adboard’s need moved.

Hi everybody!

 

The patch works perfectly. I have just one question: I'm managing a club that I took from the 4th Italian Division. Now my club is playing in Serie A. When I play away I see the Serie A adboards, when I play away in European cups I see the UEL/UCL adboards. But when I play home I see the static adboards I created and the generic video adboards for friendly match contained in the patch. How can I fix this problem? I didn't create video adboards so I hope to see the ones setted for each competition. I'm using the club xml.

 

Your stadium capacity is too small to force the game to use video ads, I'll make sure the Serie A is coded to force video ads in the next update.

Hey great work on these! I had a quick question about the champions league and Europa league banners on the stands that is in stadiums when playing in those competitions. Some stadiums they show up well, but in some they do not appear. Is there any solution to this?

 

It all depends on the stadium model used by Football Manager, sadly this can not be edited.

I have a problem. With your files, I get stuck on "Loading". 

The game is not loading. When I remove the file (graphics), it works again. The only way for the ads to appear is to add them after the game starts.

Can you help me ?

ps : Sorry for my english 

When FM boots it loads all graphics into your game, if you have a lot of graphics and low PC specs then it takes a long time.

As some on here I have the same problem with black video boards. Statics are mostly fine.
- I've not been able to find a solution in this thread
- Screenshots below
- HD changed to SD
- Targeted ads currently ON
- Graphic quality is Very High
- Currently using CLUB XML file
- Integrity of local files verified

Can someone help me please, I have done everything written here, but I cant get normal adboards. I have plain black ads. I changed hd folder to sd but it didn't help, tho I cant understand how my rtx 2070 super can't cope with hd adboards. Help me please. Thanks!

Hi. in czech league, team AC Sparta Praha i have no 3D czech banners on the stadium but the rest of the teams do have them. Can it be repaired? Thanks.

This is no bug, Sparta Praha have thier own video ads assigned to them but the Czech league does not, maybe someone will make video ads for the Czech league in the future.

The sponsors for the UEFA Europa Conference League have been announced and they will mirror the Europa League, below is a screenshot of the Conference League competition board and stadium trim. Below is my provisional WIP list, some additional content may appear too if time permits.

Apologies for the lack of activity folks, life has been a bit hectic lately and since SI moved the goalposts with video ads, I have found motivation been hard to come by. I have been a lost in where to take this patch next, however, after some time away I have decided to work on a big overhaul of the patch between now and the release of FM22. This will include converting all video ads to the new format and removing all dead files. This may entail a rewrite of the xml file and through this process I can give some love the to the smaller leagues and give them a long overdue update as some leagues still use adboard’s which I made in 2009!

 

I will get round to answering the questions in the FAQ thread over the next few days, also thanks to everyone who has helped with technical support in my absence.

 

I’ll post a new W.I.P list at some point this week, which will include updates to EFL ads based on the adboard’s shown in the various playoff finals. Please not I will not be making any club adboard’s or updating any of the big 7 European nations until the 21/22 season starts.

Hi,

 

For some reason the adverts don't appear within the stands?? It's just a multi-coloured line. The adverts banner close to the pitch does work ok on non-clubs but black for clubs. Anyone got any ideas?? I've checked all the folders and files are in the correct place, and I've over written them all with the latest update. Graphics are very high with 5 star rating, and I've deleted the cache and reloaded the skin etc too.

I've been back creating some ads to go alongside a few saves i've done so far. Everything's coded by myself and confirmed working bar Stockport County. I've included all the ads made (for use in the pack anyway) with a .txt of all the additions made. Can anyone point out in the broken Stockport txt file why it gives me the classic FM08 ads as I can't see what's wrong for the life of me.

 

I can’t see any errors in your code, ran it through FM17 which was the last version to debug the xml and it flagged no issues.

I am really excited to have these ad boards in my game. I have followed the instruction a few times now and i still just get the 2008 football manager ad board around the edge of the pitch and no images on the upper stands banners, i have installed the V.10 and V1.1 update as instructed,  now granted my team is Aldershot (in the English Vanarama National League) and i cannot see specific ad boards for that team in the files, but i thought maybe the generic ones would kick in their place. I should also mention my FM21 game saves all the games etc to a slightly different area than the usual. Mine is in C: drive-users-username-Sports interactive-Football manager 2021etc.  but FM2021 also created another folder in  C:drive-documents-Sports interactive- Football manager 2021 folder as well. This other folder seems redundant and will not let me save any games to it. Does that have any impact on this ad board mod? I thought i would be a clever sod and put all the relevant files in both sports interactive folders but the results are still the same. Any help you can give would be much appreciated as the time and effort you have put into this mod makes the match game days look even better. I stand by to send you screenshots.

 

Also is this were i beg for some ad boards for the Aldershot stadium?

Hey Rab, The ads are no longer showing for me, they've worked for ages and then i changed the XML file and now it no longer works

There must be a mistake in the code you added to the xml file

Hey all - anyone knows how to put a video ad on an upper-tier stand on FM? Similar to the upper-tier ad boards at Spurs/Man city stadium?

and, the xml method we used only worked in the ground floor stadium.
No matter how much i adjusted "edge_type" and "edge_index", it didn't work on the second floor or higher.

and now, the positioning of static ads is not work at all in FM21.

I have not been able to find enough Videos of Troyes, I have made the 5 video ads below which are partly animated. Next season once you have played a few games in Ligue 1 I will make a full proper set!

Thank you, keep in mind when playing with a MAC folder locations are different, is this the Steam folder you are referring too?

I have one problem, i using this patch some time and now - when i play match in europe supercup or english comunity shield,in match doesn´t show static adbord - other competitions adbord work (i using no club)

 

For these games it is best to use the ‘no clubs’ fm.xml file as there is an issue with the game and Football Manager treats the games as a home/away match and not a netural game.

Hello,

I resinstalled everything, following the instructions carefully. Unfortunately the problem is still there.

With the file: "no club". The adboards are black in UEFA European competitions (UCL/EL) but in the national championship everything is fine.

 

It's a shame because I really prefer to play with the "no club".  Could there be an error in the file?

Hi rabcp,

My video ads are not showing in my game. It's for a created club. They are located in the following folder (I'm on mac) so

…/Steam/steamapps/common/Football Manager 2021/data/simwatcherviewer_uncompressed/videos/hd/video_ads/england/clubs/redbull london.

There are 9 video ads, numbered in the fm.xml file starting 33600 upwards (those numbers do not clash with any others).

They are then assigned to my club (id 2000066283)  in the fm.xml. The game picks up the static ads created for this club but not the video ones. Any ideas as to why please?

This is my first attempt in making adboards, it's Inter adboards for FM21. It took 2 days to prepare the files and learn from the tutorial by @rabcp 

So here some preview.

 

How to install
1. Copy static_adboards to
C:\Users\Username\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\graphics\pictures\ads\europe\italy\clubs

2. Copy video_adboards to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2021\data\simatchviewer_uncompressed\videos\hd\video_ads\italy\clubs
(it's either hd or sd folder name, depending on what working for you)

3. Copy the .xml file content to your fm.xml files on C:\Users\Piere\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2021\ads (club version)
(Make sure to paste the <record> tag and list tag, or just search for fiorentina or milan placement for example)

Celtic Park with its smaller South Stand (I think it would be top left, top and top right in the editor) would be class. Do you know if it's possible to change the surroundings of the stadia too as I'd like to have a go myself and put Caley Thistle ground beside the Moray Firth where it belongs and not in the middle of a city!!

There is nothing I can really edit in Celtic Park or Anfield

 

Once again please read the limitations before requesting, this is only really suitable for stadiums which are massively inaccurate such as the examples of Bordeaux and Braga in the first post.

 

Before requesting be mindful of the following

• Stadium models/textures cannot be changed,
• The number of tiers in a stand cannot be changed
• Boxes/tv screens cannot be added/removed
• The height and lengths of stands cannot be changed

Not sure if this counts as a technical query but here goes:  

 

 I see that some of the adboards in Celtic Park remain with the numbered sections (I've seen 85, 86, 87, 88 and 89 for example.)  Do you know if this is a bug in the game or is there something I can have a go at sorting?  I was thinking of taking these numbers down and saving say coca cola boards as 85 and 86 in the 661 folder in test.  Would that work?  I'm guessing they would appear in any stadium so thought it would be good to stick to worldwide brands maybe.
