You need to open the zip and place the files inside to My Documents > Sports Interactive > FM 2020 > Editor Data (if I remember right)

You will then get the option to load the league's when starting a new game.

That will be your problem I'm guessing, have a search online as there's a few people had the same problem.

Hi All,

I have just purchased via this website and have downloaded everything all ok but when I go to launch through steam, I get the error :

An error occured while updating Football Manager 2020 (Unknown Error)

Try this.

Verify Game Cache:

1. Load Steam
2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
3. Select the Local files tab and click the ‘VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME CACHE…’ button.
4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
5. Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.
