Do you mean: Does updating the database have an impact on your ongoing saved game?

Just think about this:
In your saved game, say… you've signed Jude Bellingham for your team. So, you install the latest database… you know that he should be at Real Madrid now. What do you expect to happen in your saved game? No way he's forced to transfer back to Madrid, right?

Or, assume that you've played your saved game till 2030 already… any update to the database here is about 2024. How can it have any impact?

Last but not least, remember the official Winter Update a few months ago? It includes a database update after the transfer window in January. If this update could have an impact on everyone's saved game, it could cause disasters to everyone...

Basically, when creating a new game, the system creates an “instance” of the database. It's like… you play with a spare copy of the database (based on its status at the time you create the game). The “world” in your saved game is closed and moves on its own, which is independent to the database.

I was just affraid because I have a network save with some friends and I was frightened to make mistake by updating the database.
