Cheers Pheonix Arrow. It's a new laptop from PCWorld, since my old one (a Windows 7) died on me after five years service. I wanted to buy a new laptop as a present for all my hard-work lately, but I didn't have the time or effort required to look for a good second-hand computer or to build my one. I'm seriously regretting getting a Windows 8, it's fucking annoying. I've got two Skype accounts - an original one I got years ago, and another that's basically my old MSN contacts list. I've synced my user account to my password, and even if I make another Windows account, it refuses to give me access to the other Skype account.

Does anyone know how to fix font rendering errors on Windows 8? I've downloaded the latest graphics driver for AMD and I've turned ClearType on, but the fonts look abysmal, especially on the Metro interface. After five minutes, even on Firefox and Chrome, the fonts look unreadable.

I'm using a supposedly 'modern' HP laptop with Windows 8, but for some reason, it's graphically inferior to computers from the 1990s. Its font rendering is absolutely atrocious, especially on Firefox and Chrome. Internet Explorer has somewhat better font rendering, but sometimes you get crisp, smooth fonts, sometimes it's unfair and blurry, which isn't a nice look. I'm considering selling my laptop already, could probably get £200 for it maybe.

I've never bought a club kit, didn't see the point. I always think people who walk around in town with a club kit on look stupid, and they're asking for trouble sometimes, if they're wearing the wrong kit in the wrong place - ie, a Portsmouth kit in Southampton city centre on or around derby day. I could understand why you might wear one when you're actually going to the game or around the house, but £40's a lot for a casual top, really.

Unless you get a job that doesn't close for business during holidays, my shop's open even on Christmas.

Ahh true. My shop's area manager has taken away our charity box. It's a local charity raising funds for kids with cancer. But apparently it discourages customers from buying things. Ugh.

I think it was decided as they went along. I would have loved it if they had thought the ending from the beginning, but I don't think it's likely, given that Ashes to Ashes was originally just a one-series spin-off.

I particularly enjoyed the final episode of Ashes to Ashes, it was very satisfying, though left me asking a lot of question. That, in my opinion, is a good way of telling a story: resolving the key questions but leaving the audience wanting a little bit more, just to show that you haven't driven the story on for too long.

There's a legal precedence of a man who put a pig's head by a mosque, though the guy was a racist and was malicious in that he wanted to cause alarm to Muslims going to prayers. This is obviously just a case of tomfoolery and horseplay.

The same customer demanded that I order some in with her name on it. Firstly, we have automated, computerised ordering, and secondly you can't order one in with a specific name I think she was doing it for some art project or other bullshit.
