lost first 6 with west ham , won 3 in a row now . starting to play good football now i changed to short passing and took off target man and playmaker. good tactic well done . oops i take it back 4 wins in 17 games

Ah the dreaded first complaint!

Can you upload your save game so I can take a look over your past games for you? Even with West Ham and playing such an attacking strategy you shouldn't be getting anything close to those results.

The match and it's happenings is worked out from tactics, shouts, player stats, form, morale and a million other subjectives. The match engine is trying to portray this by giving you something fancy to look at and not just a bar of text on a shit background. So if, for example, Messi makes a break down the left and shoots, which is saved, Villa follows up and skies it. The match engine will make you feel he's missed a complete sitter. If someone beats someone, it'll portray that as best as possible, but it's almost impossible to show all these amazing tricks and fluent moves to do that so you'll kinda see defenders do nothing.

I dunno. Sounds to me like you don't wanna be playing the game. Try the 2D match engine and you might warm to it a bit more.

Even if he is a real wonderkid in real life, which team will give 18M euros for him???

I think that's the point.

Unless you're willing to pay a ridiculous amount it's more beneficial to them to keep hold. They're not needing transfer funds and don't need a hasty fix to strengthen their squad.

Try scouting the opposition and tweaking where appropriate. Are you not scoring? Conceding? Losing the midfield battle? Pause every now and then and look over some stats, shouts work well for fixing these issues as does the quick 'mark player' etc options. Tactics are more important than ever imo and as we all know well, europe is a completely different neck of the woods to your domestic league.

As soon as you realise the issues are the same for both teams, you'll appreciate it a lot more.

The ME is reflecting what has already been calculated by decision, stats and figures. It's why you see players stand off an obvious tackle attempt or let a ball slip through he could've got to but this happens for both teams. It's looking alot better and is definitely a joy to watch when you're used to the 'issues' you pick up on first glance.

Give it a try. There's no such thing as a perfect game as the casei s subjective to each and every gamer, but I think FM2013 is closer than any previous titles by a good fucking margin.

Have you played through a full season or beyond with this yet?

If so did you have to make any tweaks/adjustments the longer you played with it to keep it's effectiveness?

I have just completed the first season. See the updated screenshots and updated topic for how it went.

Trouble is playing as Celtic is not really testing the tactic, i will try this with Kırklarelispor who are a mid table bottom league Turkish team.

Whilst I'd made the tactic for the stronger teams in mind I've heard from various people and their successes with it as not so fortunate teams. You'll have to let me know how it plays out, but as mentioned in the first post, it's such an all guns blazing; attacking tactic. Hopefully your back four are up to it and please do let me know how it goes.

Anyone see the Celtic game? Quite astonishing looking at these stats: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20150451

66% possession compared to 34%, 25 shots 14 on target for Barca with Celtic having 3 shots 3 of which on target.

Curious as to how this result came about!

My mate is one of those dicks that exclusively play COD and buys ridiculously priced headphones to sound-whore on it. He told me.

To be fair my PC value is pretty over the top, too, purely for gaming purposes. I'm on the wired G35 headset, G19 keyboard and have a Razer Imperator 2012 mouse. If you play games often enough and don't have too many bills each month the difference is enormous.

The Huge 451
An attractive attacking tactic created by Madam, catered for squads with great depth and rotation to make the most of a tight fixture schedule. The tactic provides the team with a generic setup which focuses on a quick tempo game, where long shots are minimised and through balls set up from fast direct passes shine.

Things to be noted before you download
You'll need great depth to your squad. It's a fast paced, aggressive and open tactic which is a bit of midfield condition burner. Suitable for a congested fixture list, the tactic will still need a few things on your end to outdo the rest.

- Target Man, STC, this player will be gifted many one-on-one chances throughout the season. Finishing, composure, off the ball and anticipation are a must to convert the chances into goals.

- Centre backs, note you'll have a limited defender role and a centre back. Your DCL will be the player going up to knock in a few headers whilst your DCR will be holding their strikers hand and will need good physical stats. Adjust to this when picking your defensive line.

- The wingers, will be contributing their fair share of goals too. Your AML will be acting as a forward bringing the ball into a dangerous area often, whilst your AMR will be relying on crosses, well timed passes and general assists for their match rating. Make a note of this if you're players are able to play both left and right sides.

- The opponent's counter attack, will at times be lethal. It's an all guns blazing tactic that will see at times 8 of your 11 players pressed up into their half. Thankfully the ratio of goals to defensive holes is great, but be aware shouts are your best friend against teams with pace who are relying on you to over commit.

- The tactic was created with strong teams in mind, but the feedback received from friends is that the tactic achieves exactly what it was set out to do regardless. Whilst I'm chuft to bits with this news, teams playing such attacking football when they're depending on a defensive setup to survive is a risk I won't be responsible for. ;-]

Quick note on training, match prep & shouts
Not sure how much of the success was down to this but I'll mention it anyway. For training I worked tactics for both week training and match prep at a high intensity until the tactic was accomplished in every department. From there my training would vary to keep everything refreshed on a 2 monthly basis unless something specific was needed, ie, fitness would be the focus when you have 3-4 games in a 10 day spell, cohesion worked when you're advised there's problems for players blending in (usually new signings). Match prep would be attacking movement for home games or ties that should be one-sided, whilst defensive movement was selected for the away games at Man U, Anderlecht, Malaga, PSG. Even Dundee in the cup when fixture congestion gave me zero key players to work with.

Shouts I find myself using all the time. The tactic is very friendly towards them and if you're not seeing what you think you should be seeing definitely jump into this. I've seen various tactics that suggest otherwise, but if you're 1-0 down and your players aren't running into the obvious gaps on the pitch, tell them so!

A breakdown of my success with the tactic
Screenshots uploaded following season's finish. See below.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/luTN82EAjJYlua5FraI69YO8i5Qlh9sjFXmDLC1g.jpg

A fantastic season! I was extremely proud of my youth players for such a dominant SPL display, almost as such as the key players who took Europe by surprise. You'll see the tactic is burying the big name teams at home whilst giving me heart attacks on the return leg. PSG almost took it all away, Malaga ran out of time with 2 late consolidation goals.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/DZ65H9ntuNd1QAVWO5vxKi7RGjtD0esCDjJr1qUe.jpg

As you can see the formation is very generic. The team has great depth with good rotation options. There's a nice blend of experience and inexperience and there's a good balance for both short and tall players. Scottish dominance without this tactic? Probably. Champions league winning team without the tactic? I don't think so.

http://i.imgur.com/asu5K.jpg

Team instructions above. What you see is what you get. The team doesn't get much creative freedom other than your AP, IF & TM providing a required balance. I'd suggest not tweaking about this too much, especially the player instructions. The player instructions set up a nice counter attack in itself and there's no need to play the offside trap whatsoever, either, for those who tick these boxes religiously assuming 'why not?'.

#8 manager hall of fame, worldwide reputation and a board of directors spamming me with pay rises. Nay too shabby for a first season. Shame I haven't renewed my contract with them. Bring on the challenge of the K League, Jeonbuk here we come!

On a final note
If the tactic works out for you please, please come to me with your feedback. This is my first release and a bit of praise and suggestion will go a long way to persuading me to put the time into another tactic.

Secondly, you aren't permitted to re-upload this anywhere else. If you wish to put it on your website send me a private message. The reason so many good 'tacticians' stopped releasing their work is from the sheer volume of people renaming their downloads and passing it as their own. Please don't do this!

Lastly, for all its worth, enjoy it!

Anyone see the MLS West semis on ESPN last night? LA vs San Jose? Pretty funny.

Apparently SJ have scored 10 goals this season in 90+ plus and 20 or so from 75 mins onwards or something daft like that. Never have I seen a team dominate a half in terms of possession as LA did. Free kick in the 94th minute from SJ, possibly the shittest goal you can concede as a defensive wall and as a keeper.

Huge, huge fan of Formula 1, roll on Silverstone 2013!

Sunday's race was... weird. I thought everything that needed to happen for Seb happened. The first safety car was timed well for him even with the incident on the TR. He made up a good 20 seconds or so on the front pack. Yes the car is fast, yes Seb's a decent driver but the real winner was the second safety car. Another huge gap closed down at the perfect time. Red Bull called him in at the perfect time to get off the supersofts though and get him out before the 5-10 pileup which wouldn't of been possible without the safety car (Bumping him up on the time before the top 10's one stop pits). I don't think he'd of finished on the supersofts, let alone hang on to a podium finish as they'd done an awful lot of laps. There's also 3 cars in the race that were doing everything in their power to help Seb in and out of 8-12th-ish position and of course a stupidly timed pit from RB on Webber which put him back out in the danger zones.

He didn't have to take as many of the quicker cars as he would have as they'd already taken themselves out, too. Little things like contesting with late breaking on non-race lines (colder parts of track) really affect performance and he avoided much of this due to the lack of competition. It wasn't anything special in my opinion, he's still a gobby arrogant shite. The illegal take on Grosjean meant he have to give up his place, which he did forcing Grosjean to take a shit driving line into a DRS zone where he could easily take that back. There needs to be a rule on this and fast. If I was grosjean I'd slam on the breaks and rape the cunt on the DRS myself.

Also I don't understand the hate on Lewis. The guy's a wanker because he says the shit nobody else has the balls to say? He's genuinely raced a fantastic season. Just like at Singapore he bows out in the clear running. From engine failure, gearbox issues and minor failed tweaks costing him valuable time with weakened downforce, front wheel lock ups... Damn. Don't even get me started. Bring on Mercedes!

Glad for Kimi! Deserving win on season consistency.

I need suggestions for films that are about drugs, drug use and/or drug addiction as I am doing a project on how drugs and drug use are depicted in fiction. Any help?

Trainspotting and Fear and Loathing are out of the question as I am reading the books. Only other drug films I can think of are Requiem for a Dream and Spun.

Have you seen Blow with Johnny Depp? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0221027/

There's also Basketball Diaries if you have, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112461/

In truth I'd reccommend both.

I'd definitely reccommend the entire catalogue that's available on here. It's a real chore when you've got the game sat there waiting but definitely worth it once it's done.

Get the facepack and metallic logo megapacks from http://sortitoutsi.net/graphics. I spent a good while getting pretty much all the FM2013 SS shirts and 3d kits, too, what popular ones were missing I took from the 11/12 category, such as Bundesliga and a few second divisions.

I'm personally loving it so far. I'm not too far into my save, approaching the final third of the season. Decided to take up Celtic to get into the game, what I thought would be an easy league but a huge continental challenge. Turns out it's the opposite for me!

I know alot of people are complaining about the match engine but I'm finding it quite enjoyable. Players seem to have frequent bad vision and slow movement. Keepers tend to spill the ball an awful lot and the amount of shots from a stupid angle can get quite annoying at first. Once you get used to it you come to expect it from both sides, though, and I'm slowly beginning to praise the little things they've introduced and the graphics overhaul more and more. The only thing I can't get used to is the amount of fucking shit long shots my players try to take when a perfect through ball gives my striker a shot, that or they'd rather pass it round between 3 midfielders for 20 minutes then fall over their own feet. I assume this is patchable, though?

I'm finding it hard to get a consistent run of results together, I'm dropping points at Ross County & Dundee United whilst holding Man United and Spartak Moscow to draws away from home. I think the tactics and training have been taken to a new level which is easy to use but hard to master which gives the game a bit more replayability than it does already.

But more importantly I think the news is better and makes you feel more involved, especially come end of season and transfer deadline days. Press conferences, relationships and morale seems to be a bit more realistic and doesn't seem to get stale and boring too quickly. The AI, despite people also complaining, I think has improved drastically.

To finish off since my fingers are getting a bit fed up, I really love the default skin and layout. Again people complained about this, but just with the facepacks, kits and logos the game looks very polished.

Kim Jung-Woo from Jeonbuk should be added to this list.

Can play comfortably as a DM, MC, AMC or Striker, picked up for slightly over £1m, good stats and averaging a 7.40 or so in my Celtic save. I'm running him in a 3-5-2 rotating from an advanced playmaker to a box to box midfielder role. Carrying me on his shoulders in the Champions League, shame the rest of my team are playing shit in every other SPL game.

Hate to be 'that guy' but I've never had a problem with Steam. They've released incorrect files, had clients personal and credit card information hacked and have raped a few people with the good ol' connection errors, but I think I'm in Valve's good books. 45 or so titles on there all paid for and not once have I run into anything shitty in the past few years.

Loving the game, though. I'm doing class as usual. Have you ever seen Celtic in 6th after 20 or so games? I have. If it wasn't for my big europe displays I'd be queueing at the job centre or rage clicking a new game.

I just don't play the titles since CoD4 (I still buy them for whatever reason, a combined 60 hours gameplay on the latest 4 games and the most recent 3 of which for sure will be permanatly greyed out on my steam). To rake in the big money the games and their PC 'ports' catered too much for the casual solo player. I miss the old days and always will; buy a server, host a promod/pam4 config, enter a tournament or scrim until the late hours of the morning on your days off to practice the new smoke and frag hotspots and timings you'd come up with. The newer games are far too run and gun arcade-like for me.

Still waiting on a good FPS designed for 5v5. Spawn with a rifle and/or pistol with a nade only. No silly killstreak rewards and of course SnD as the only game mode. Could be waiting a good while, sadly.

Name's Adam, 23 and been whoring the games since Maxim Tsigalko was a must buy on the old 01/02 CM. Picked up the new one off Steam just now and needed to find me some decent graphics.

I've just completed a premium payment so if anyone can point me to the better packs for the faces, logos and kits that'd be great. Also if anyone is planning on an accurate J-League (I assume they still don't have the licence?) data update feel free to link me to the thread so I can subscribe for updates.

Cheers!
