I was thinking of how to do a carryover save that wouldnt change the database too much for FM24. As I only play with top 5 leagues loaded how accurate would this be as opposed to starting a new save on FM24?

While i love the nostalgia of the older databases they just arent realistic. I recreated Chelsea from the mourinho era and I was winning every game 5-0 and up. Drogba and Torres were scoring buckets of goals. It took me about a week of watching videos, looking at old FM profiles and I finally recreated Chelsea in a realistic way to suit FM23. While were a TOP team were not blowing everyone away. Drogba isnt scoring hat tricks every game, you have to sort your tactics to suit his playstyle and torres is struggling but with certain players and tactics he plays better.

Also a regen team of ronaldo,shevchenko, figo, beckham, zidane, kaka, ronaldinho, ballack, makelele, roberto carlos, john terry,maldini, phillip lahm, casillas.is the stuff of dreams!!
maybe you can do legendary teams? like the original galacticos, mourinhos chelsea, ancellotis milan etc.
you could ask people to donate aswell.

The most you can do apart from this is the adboards, and you can upload your own images they just have to be the right size. I played with chelsea and had all the correct banners, just not in the correct locations. In terms of sounds yes there is the sound mod. But I actually managed to download the commentary mod (however it would repeat the same phrase twice in a row a couple times throughout the match which can be annoying) and I also got really close to including the chants but i think that involved coding which im no good at. I do think the FM community is getting really close to having an overall more realistic and enjoyable match day experience!
