FM Database Update Project

In anticipation for FM26 I'm working on collecting data to add a large amount of clubs and teams to the game that I don't think will be in the base database for the main game.

At the moment I am focusing on adding college teams in the USA but I am open to suggestions of leagues or teams to add that are not in the vanilla game.

The US teams have proven to be relatively easy to add because of the amount of data available online.

The German lower leagues are also quite well documented online so I am planning on collecting data for the Regionalliga and below once I've finished updating the US.

Northern Cyprus and Greenland also have leagues that I will add due to neither being in the game.

Please leave suggestions below and I'll be able to work on collecting the data for the leagues or clubs you suggest.

In addition to this I'll be updating a large amount of the cities + regions of the game.

This will be my main project for the FM26 life cycle and I'll be updating my progress here.

Something about the transfers San Diego FC have made this transfer window makes me think they played my mod.

Can you send some screenshots?

Mark Kagawa is also missing.

I added all 3 of these players in my San Diego update.

I could potentially make a version where it's just the missing players without the other changes.

I'd be willing to help out with making new clubs.

Players too if there are still any to add.

Are there any ways to contribute to a data update to make new clubs in the database?

FC Tutankhamun or FC Tut (I can't remember the spelling) in Egypt are now called FC Masar and are part of the RTD echo system (Nordsjaelland, RTD Ghana, San Diego FC)

I had a stab at making NCAA teams for my San Diego FC file and was able to add all the conferences and teams for D1.

It's just cosmetic however since I didn't get a working league sorted.

I was working on adding more teams previously but hit a wall of frustration trying to make the NCAA division functionable in the Pyramid.

I'm not the most expert with league structure and the US divisions are a little complex.

If you would like, maybe we could work on a collaborative effort to make the NCAA teams within your existing structure.

Since we have the new game coming out soon enough I'm mainly working on gathering the data required to actually add the teams into the game properly.

We could start with D1 and then if that goes well expand further down the college structure.

I don't think I've ever heard of the ELO rating system before but this is pretty cool and gives a new perspective on national team performance.

The cases I've noticed are for Spain, South American/Central American nations only require 2 years to get Spanish nationality instead of the default number.

This exists in real life because UK teams used to loan players to Spain to try to get them permits to join in England.

Another example is in Brazil, portuguese speaking countries only require 1 year to gain citizenship.

I don't know if there's any way to influence this in the database but obviously we can adjust the non foreign relationships and treated as EU relationships but when you make nationalities non foreign it will make it so the players don't see a need to obtain the new nationality even after passing the naturalisation period.

I'm having a bit of difficulty finding a 3d version of Olot's kits but if you find a version available I will link it.

The 2d kits are here with the new config.

You select start my career and then to activate mods in the game you will have to select them with the advanced options button.

You just tick the mods you want to be active in your game.

To get the mods to show up you will need to place them in your documents folder for football manager.

\Documents\sports interactive\Football Manager 2024

Once in this folder create a folder called “editor data” and place the files in the file named “editor data” of my download in that file.

If you leave the files in a folder within the editor data folder it may not show up in the game so just leave them as individual files.

Update:

• UE Olot have been edited in the database to give them a Catalan only transfer policy.
• Club logo added
• Background images for Catalonia and UE Olot added

I've created a version of the Sortioutsi name fix INC file that will change the club name to San Diego FC to hopefully stop the game from reverting the name back to Chivas USA.

So I assume just fixing the line's referencing the countries I'm using would work to resolve the issue?

Are there any similar files for Club names? Seems like people always have an issue with my San Diego file where it reverts back to being named Chivas USA.

is the Inc file just a txt file that's easily editable? I haven't touched it before I'll admit.

Should be 893 but it went to the maximum.

Changed it to 893 now.

Travels costs for these clubs must be enormous!

Yeah it would be possible because there's already a state league to work from.

Any ideas on the structure?

At the moment I'm tweaking my file to be compatible with TMC's lower league file but it'll take a while to get the nation rules working since it's a bit complicated.
