Download this file, extract it and place it in Documents \ Sports Interactive \ Football Manager 2020 \ graphics. Delete all the .png's, but leave the config files. This will mean you get an empty space for people who don't have a face.

In the preferences in-game, I believe there's the option to load only real players. Select it, this will make sure that you don't get to see the regen faces.

Use the Resource Archived to extract the entirety of the graphics / pictures / players / normal and put it in the above path. Again, delete all the .png's but leave the config files. This will mean you get an empty space for people for whom SI has a licenced face.

That should cover all the bases. A completely befuddling proposition, however. Bordering on the insane

I'm the same, i prefer no player faces what so ever!

 

This is great and can confirm it still works for Football 2024.

 

Not started the ‘Resource Archived’ part yet, we'll see how that goes haha
