I use the data update which implements Real as the CL winner in 2022 and a May 2022 start. The game still simulated the CL, creating 2 CL winners in 2022. Is it possible to avoid this?

The kit number bug is due to starting the game in a later date. You dont have to install anything, just start the game after September or so, and they would be gone all the same.
