I'm guessing the story about him banging Moyes' daughter is bullshit so I'm sure there's a more credible reason.

Nothing spectacular, he's pretty raw and we've had a run off tough games. Januzaj has jumped ahead of him in the pecking order (possibly because we're still sorting his new contract out) so he took the game time when it was available, and then some of the other games were used to get senior players who hadn't been playing time.

I don't know. It's way too specific. Plus since when have Goal.com been that reliable a source?

Since some time last year. They got bought and brought in some real journalists (Sam Lyons from the BBC, Wayne Veysey, Greg Stobart off the top of my head). They do still come out with some bullshit but they do get some stuff right.

It feels way too specific saying he wants to join us, not least given its a while before he can do anything and the last time we signed a winger from Man U was the thoroughly useless Gabby Obertan. But who knows? It'd be a nice signing.

How many other Martians do you know that could play football?

Maybe that's what happens and Obertan can't play because his personas have been drinking, drugging and playing with plunger boobies.

Michael Mancienne is the only one playing in one of the top European leagues at the moment I believe.

Eric Dier's getting games at Sporting, but thats about it for decent/young talent in a good league

Not the craziest rumour ever. Benfica made a late move for him in the summer and Milan aren't exactly flying at the moment.

Because British culture is quite insular, especially in the lowly educated, working class environments that most British footballers come from. Moving abroad isn't seen as an accomplishment in the same way that it is in many other nations and most players (and their WAGs, too) are both poorly equipped and usually unwilling to do the cultural adjustment required to be successful playing in a different country.
Then there's the issue of wages and the over-pricing of mediocre English players making foreign clubs hesitant.
Is Scottish.

Scotland is in the UK btw

ALSO MFL teaching in schools is so abysmal that unlike in countries like (but not limited to) the Netherlands people that leave school with a solid grasp of at least French, German or Spanish are the minority, making the idea of moving abroad more daunting.
No matter what you think of Bale, Owen or Beckham (and Woodgate lol) as people you have to respect the move to Real Madrid in the terms of moving to a country where you have no friends and can't speak the language.
