This file is intended for FM13.3, and will need to be re-applied if/when patches/updates are released to ensure full compatibility. This is due to the fact that some files which are removed when installing this file are re-installed when patches come out.
Magrippinho very helpfully created a YouTube video on how this file should be installed. Some of the contents are different - but the procedure is identical.
Or, you can follow the below instructions to install this file:
Step 1: Go to
PC
Step 2: Delete the dbc, edt and lnc folders from the folder above
Step 3: Copy the dbc, edt and lnc folder from this download into the folder mentioned in step 1.
Step 4: Go to:
Step 6: Keeping the folder in step 5 open, go back to the file you downloaded and open the folder named "editor data files".
Step 7: Copy the 30 files in the folder from step 6 into the folder mentioned in step 5.
To check if the file is working, go to the Champions Cup and EURO Vase, and they should be renamed to Champions League and Europa League respectively. If you are in the middle of a save-game, German national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not instantly.

It also includes real-life media and journalists, with 27 media files added which encompass all major footballing nations and continents. You will however need to start a new game for these media files to work.
Thanks to TomDixon77 for his assistance in checking these files do work. Please note this is only a beta version, which will be updated when the full game is released to reflect any changes needed and errors encountered.

There are a number of competitions who were missing in FM12 and whose correct names are included in the file, and which I'd like to check if they are in FM13. There's a number of club and stadium names which I want to check if they have been changed in FM13 before changing them myself (including the B teams of the big Portuguese clubs, for example). I also want to check if any new awards have been added so I can amend them accordingly.
The bulk of the file is correct, however.
If you want to include some stuff in future releases of this file, you are more than welcome to add them to this thread or PM me, so that you can avoid having to do them yourself every year. You will naturally be credited for all your work
Both. You can use these files with the full game, but I certainly intend, as above, to add and amend any necessary stuff.

just want to let you know that the Malaysian competition 'Astro Piala Malaysia' is now called 'Era Piala Malaysia'
and also 'Astro Malaysia Liga Super' and 'Astro Malaysia Liga Premier' should be changed to 'Astro Liga Super Malaysia' and 'Astro Liga Premier Malaysia' respectively, as the latter two is grammatically correct in the Malay language

I did this too and now when i start up it says missing lang_db.dat or when i start a game it says no database found.

I said to only delete the dbc, edt and lnc folders and replace them. You seem to have deleted the other content of the folder as well. Either restore them from your recycle bin or verify the integrity of the game files from Steam, which will recreate the old files.

From what I've read it seems that there is political conflict about what the area should be named so that would suggest why typing in either chinese taipei or republic of chinna into football manager search will take you to the same page.
