Good signing for them. Don't think anybody will really be able to keep up with them and City next year.

Everyone said that last year though and it never happened, everyones saying Chelsea just need a striker and they'll dominate but just because they sign Costa doesn't really mean they will be able to perform the same defensively, same goes for City as well.

I'll also add that on every occasion i've seen him play he's looked extremely overrated.

Will be interesting to see how he gets on in the PL, could just as easily end up like Torres though

Next year is gonna be tight as fuck. Utd with Van Gaal and some signings, Liverpool (if they keep Suarez) with depth, Chelsea with a striker, City with (hopefully) no/less injuries, Arsenal 4th as always. Spurs with a new manager and heaps of great 'individuals', could gel into something awesome. Especially Lamela, he will be awesome, like he should've been last season

Unfair to say Spurs could 'gel into something awesome' and dismiss us as nothing more than fourth-placed challengers. We're better than them, they've spunked all of their Bale money and we should strengthen significantly this summer. It's hard to say at this point given no transfers have happened yet but still. I'd also fancy us to finish ahead of Liverpool if Suarez leaves.

People are also forgetting that at Southampton Pochetino was very lucky to have a group of players willing to obey every order he gave, you won't get that from the Tottenham dressing room.

Pochettino is just a shit Alan Pardew, with shite long ball tactics.

And has completely ruined Osvaldo, Ramirez and Wanyama.

Not sure what the reasoning behind you thinking that signing Costa is going to make Chelsea a worse off team defensively. Both them clubs had new managers last season as well, so you'd expect them to progress this year. On the point of Chelsea needing a striker, they finished 4 points behind City, a team which has 3 strikers better than anything Chelsea have. I'd imagine it'll be closer now they do have a proper striker.

I'm indifferent on signing Diego Costa, every time I've seen him play he's not impressed me at all. Also slightly worried about how disciplined he will be given his temper combined with the more physical nature of the EPL. Would have preferred other options but none are really as financially viable as Costa.

I can guarantee that Diego Costa will become the League's most hated player within 15 games, surpassing Suarez (Though I've always like the little Uruguayan cunt).

Still devastated to hear the Cesc rumours, especially with Pique saying he's moving for 33m euros. Especially to fucking Chelsea and that megacunt Mourinho. Anyone but them or United.

Yet he still manages to finish above Pardew with players that he has, in your words, "ruined".

Wanyama and Ramirez have been underused at best but Osvaldo hardly helped himself by punching his captain and opposition goalkeeping coaches.

Is Wanyama actually that good though? I heard people saying how good he was when he was about to leave Celtic, but this is Celtic. Anyone can look good playing for them.

Looks as brilliantly average as you'd expect from a player that was linked to top 4 clubs for ever but then ended up joining Southampton.

Pardew took over a newly promoted side and finished 12th and 5th. Pochettino did the same and finished 16th and 8th. Pochettino then bottled it as he knew he'd do shite this year.

Microphones apparently picked up Pique confirming that Cesc is leaving Barca to Chelsea for €33m. Excellent coup if indeed true.

Got to agree. He dives more than any other player I've seen (and I watch Suarez week in week out!).

Goal are saying that both City and Chelsea have made £28.4m bids for Fabregas.

It's going to be heartbreaking seeing Fabregas go to Chelsea and it's just unfortunate that he has become available at a time when we are so stocked in creative midfielders. I can understand why Wenger has turned down the chance to get him back but it will only become acceptable if the money we're not spending on Fabregas is actually invested into other areas of the squad. If, for example, we paid £30-40m for Javi Martinez (and I know that's incredibly unlikely) then I would be in complete agreement that we were better served spending that money on a more defensive minded midfielder. However, if the extent of our summer spending is two or three average players then Wenger will come under some serious fire for not investing yet again.

Seems that our interest, if it ever existed in a serious way, has faded.

I think he'll go to City. Especially if Toure is on his way out. As TS says, it's a shame for Arsenal that the timing is wrong for him to rejoin when they need to strengthen elsewhere.

If this had happened twelve months ago he'd definitely be coming back, but since then we've signed Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey has developed into one of the most exciting midfielders in the Premier League. That said, we always have injuries so the depth would be nice, and you can never have too many good players, so I can sympathise with Wenger's decision providing we spend the money on other signings. If not then it becomes increasingly hard to defend.

Not ahead of Ramsey or Ozil he wouldn't, and they play in the only two positions he could realistically occupy. We'd have to move players round or rotate a fair bit to accommodate him.
