Why didn't Madrid just get Falcao? Instead of Hernandez from United...who in turn get Falcao?

Thought him going to Madrid was pretty much nailed on not long ago.

Honestly a little sad to see him go. Those seasons where he was banging in the goals and being generally loveable were brilliant. All the best to him and hope he can rediscover his mojo.

Wonder how long FFP will allow the 2 year loan loophole, its blatantly a way around the rules surely?

"The potential loan deal that would take Manchester City's Alvaro Negredo to Valencia is particularly attractive because the La Liga club have agreed an obligation - as opposed to an option - to complete a deal worth £23.7m at the end of the season.

"A cluster of clubs, including Arsenal, Spurs and Newcastle United have enquired about a loan deal for Matija Nastasic. Juventus and Marseille have also taken an interest."

That is ridiculous money for Negredo

Not really, it just means you end up paying for the player a year or two later. Most of these deals have obligations to buy at the end of the loan.

It's just clubs looking short-term and forgetting about the future. In a couple years they'll be fucked as it just delays the payment rather than ignoring it.

Perez didn't want Falcao, apparently.

No it's not at all. It's them saying "We can only spend £Xm this window, so we'll take him on loan and pay you next window so we don't violate FFP"

In this case it's to do with Monaco's FFP though, not United's.

Rumours of Anderson to Burnley and Shawcross back to us.

Could live with both of those.

Boro have signed Jelle Vossen on loan. Fucking Middlesborough have signed a striker, and we still don't look like doing anything.

Don't Stoke have surplus of strikers? Do they still need Cameron Jerome?

I wonder how Man Utd are planning to get Falcao, RVP, Rooney, Mata and Di Maria into the same lineup.

---------------Falcao-RVP--------------
-------------------Rooney-----------------
-------------Di Maria--Mata-------------
Shaw---------------------------Valencia
--------Rojo-Blind-Cleverley------------
-----------------Cleverley-------------------

?

Why is that Sheth bloke trying to hype up the total spending? If anything it pisses me off more that that much money exists.

One of RVP or Mata most likely.

Depends if the stories of RVP's injury are true, but either way both Rooney and RVP tend to miss vast swathes of the season through injury so there'll be games to go around. Gives Rooney a kick up the arse too hopefully, stop him resting on his laurels.

They don't. That's why he's joined Norwich.

Should've moved for Shola Ameobi when you had the chance.

Welbeck's agent on talksport saying he wants a permanent move away. Probably explains why we moved for Falcao as well, would have been down to senior strikers regardless of RVPs injury status.

At this point I'd take him for £20m.
