He's a poor mans Bendtner. Not sure what Juve are playing at.

Bendtner is a poor man's Bendtner.

What happened to Kevin Hofland?

Bust his knees, I believe. He had some sort of recurring injury anyway.

The Telegraph are claiming that Bobby Manc's flown to Madrid to speak to Jorge Mendes, in a bid to push through a deal for Falcao.

Now that's a player I wish Juve were signing.

About 5 different papers are saying we're planning to try and buy Luis Suarez for ~£40m in January.

The MEN and one of The Mirror's reporters are saying that City have no interest and that it's a leak from the Liverpool end. I'm hoping that's the case.

Its a bit of a nothing story really. You want a striker, Suarez is one of the best available, and there you go.

On the Liverpool leak, it could just be that City have been caught out and trying to cover their arses. Anyway I can't see us selling him unless you offer something ridiculous (£45m+), and even then I don't see who we could realistically get to replace him. Selling him would be a stupid move on our part - sends out an awful message and I'm sure Rodgers wouldn't even entertain the idea.

No way City want Suarez.

They have no need for the skills he has, and the fact his finishing still is average is going to be far more noticeable at a club where he doesn't get every single chance. If City are throwing £45m at a striker there's only one man they're going to be after and he plays in Spain.

I agree with this generally but don't forget Cavani; Mancini loves Cavani.

Rumours of Ballotelli leaving and Suarez in? Seems plausible to me especially if they get rid of Tevez finally.

Tevez will see out his contract most likely. I think Balotelli will be off in January, though.

Rodgers has just rubbished the rumours pretty emphatically in his press conference today. All it probably is is that City have looked at Suarez as a potential target.

The cynic in me believes that this was done by Rodgers for one of 2 reasons:

1) Start a bidding war
2) Show the fans that Suarez is important or whatever

I mainly believe this because all the 'reports' were simply from Liverpool's end with nothing at all coming from Manchester

That's the MEN's take on it as well.

FWIW, I think he's just fabricated the interest so he can knock it down emphatically like he has to discourage actual bids in January.

It just doesn't make any sense for City.

True. The only reason I can think of for it coming from Liverpool journalists if is an actual story is that they just found out about City's supposed interest before any of the Manchester people. Can't really see how leaking this story would do any good for City too.

It might just boil down to some journalist trying to sell papers tbh. Especially when he tweeted before the story was announced claiming a 'major, major story'. It aint gonna happen anyway. We don't want to sell and you have bigger fish to buy.

Anyone know anything about Wilfried Bony? Saw him linked with Chelsea, and watched some Youtube videos, but that's about all I've ever known of him.

Anything he says can be taken with a pinch of salt though. He said that Suarez doesn't dive after all

I think Chelsea could sign Bony, and given the links between the two clubs (Chelsea have loaned players out to them regularly over last few seasons) which might give Chelsea a possible upper hand over anyone else. Wouldn't object if he was brought in to strengthen the front line in Jan.

Talk of Beckham having a 10 game guest stint in the A-League. Rumor he would earn $1m for it with one of the Melbourne sides or John Singelton backed CCM the front runners.

So Beckham has announced he'll be leaving the LA Galaxy and wants one more challenge before he retires.

Hopefully this means a season or so in the A-League!

Rumours that (ex-Hull) Geovanni could be signing for Tampines Rovers in Singapore, would probably be the biggest signing in Singapore football in recent times.

Speaks a fair bit about the S-League though. :\
