Personally I think Sissoko, Janmaat, Wijnaldum, Thauvin, Coloccini and possibly Perez should be carted off. I think de Jong and Saivet could do a job in the Championship but can't see either staying. As for ins, I saw a few mentioned around - Nahki Wells was one and I think he would be good - but I'm not entirely sure. For all we know Carr's probably got someone in the French third tier lined up.

The Newcastle fans constantly complaining about the 'Southern Media' for suggesting Newcastle fans are having a messiah complex should have a word with themselves.

According to the Chronicle were trying to buy Grant Henley and Isaac Hanley.

Probably will still be called offside every 8 minutes.

Unless we're litereally signing players to improve the u21's but have little hope of him actually breaking through?

Meanwhile, what actually is Isaac Hayden's best position? I'm not entirely sure.

A new centre back and left back and replace any outgoings and we're good to go I think!

You're only a week ahead of everyone else.

Hope the chap makes a speedy recovery.

“In 2011/12 nobody that got relegated came straight back up. In 2012/13 nobody came straight back up automatically out of the three relegated.
“One (QPR) came up in the play-off and the next season (2014/15) one in the play-off (Norwich).
“After that one came up automatically (Burnley) and one (Hull) in the play-off, so it’s not easy.
Good that he's done his research. Can't half arse the excuse preparation.

With a squad getting thinner as the week's gone on, that's hardly ideal. And on a day when Brighton are losing for once.

Just wish we would play with more attacking intent from the start - Yedlin was superb for the third, but doesn't really attack like that at 0-0.

Think the red numbers are a good touch too. The sponsor doesn't really phase me, as @Number 1 mentioned, it's not like we're along having a bookie

A year ago I would've welcomed it but we seem in a happier place at the moment than for most of Ashley's decade in charge. Plus I dunno - a part of me is inherently suspicious of how much cash Chinese investors in football actually have, and there's been plenty of alleged rumours that haven't come to fruition in the last few seasons. Although if they have the cash, partial investment wouldn't be unwelcome.

Did people care that we had Wonga as our sponsor?
Majority of people I know were just pleased we'd negotiated a good deal and not went with Sports Direct.
