Yeah, this forum is dying out - which is a shame considering how busy it has been in the past. I still think scrapping the old forum for a whole new one was a mistake but hey, I could be wrong.

Yeah, this forum is dying out - which is a shame considering how busy it has been in the past. I still think scrapping the old forum for a whole new one was a mistake but hey, I could be wrong.

Not so much the forum but resetting post counts caused a lot of regulars to disappear. Their post counts shouldn't really have made a difference but they do.

Most internet forums have died/are dying out. People have shifted their internet habits from forums to social networking sites like Facebook and Skype, so subject-specific forums like this aren't as necessary.

The main topics in Sports Discussion are still pretty busy, but yeah, I can't ever remember Off Topic being so quiet. Hopefully it'll get busier soon, it's been a top read over the years.
