This file will need to be re-applied if/when official patches/updates are released to ensure full compatibility. This is due to the fact that some files which are removed when installing this file are automatically re-installed by Steam when official patches come out.
Some of these changes, ESPECIALLY THE CLUB NAMES, may not apply in the Beta, FM Touch or in existing save-games. There's a workaround for that in the first post.
The sortitoutsi real names fix changes the instances of fake names in Football Manager 2019 to the proper, real life names for awards, cities, stadiums and competitions, in cases where the actual name is not licensed, such as Champions League, Europa League and Premier League displaying instead of EURO Cup, EURO Vase and Premier Division respectively. It will also fix the fact that the Japanese National teams don't call up real players and that the Bayern manager has a fake name. These are all fully save-game compatible.
There is also a club name changes file, which changes the names of clubs in a way which ensures that any nicknames entered in the default database are retained. This file includes the proper names for Brazilian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and French clubs to circumvent licensing restrictions. It also adds real-life media and journalists, encompassing most major footballing nations and continents. Brazilian clubs' text colours are also changed through an editor data file. Finally, it includes a small file which corrects the 3-Letter competition names to correspond with any changes made in the lnc files. For all the files in this paragraph to work, however, you will need to start a new game.

This should be what your editor data folder looks like now. There may initially be a config.xml file in this folder and it can be safely overwritten; it is generated by FM every time the game starts.
To make sure the files have been applied correctly, go to the Champions Cup and EURO Vase in your saved game, and they should be renamed to Champions League and Europa League respectively. If you are in the middle of a save-game, Japanese national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not instantly. It's got nothing to do with this file, but an SI problem. The 3D kits created by SI are the wrong way round when compared to the colours assigned in the FM database. Download this file, extract it and place it in Documents / Sports Interactive / Football Manager 2019 / graphics. Happily for you, this fix is save-game compatible
DemonSoul
Buy the game or get the last patch version
MrGizMo
Yes i am using Dutch
Sorry for the late reaction
mons
It appears that this fix only works with the English language, for some reason. The only way to get German club name changes in other languages is to manually apply the workaround in the first post...
sweet
mons
Yes it does, and also the same problem with the French squad.
JANpechanec
I am watching the Czech First Division and know how it here goes. I have a request.
Can you update the names of Czech First Division Awards?
It is not ePojisteni.cz ....now the new sponsor of Czech First Divison is Fortuna.
Wrong: ePojisteni.cz liga ....Top scorers etc.
Right: Fortuna:Liga ....Top scorers etc.
Please change of all awards with name ePojisteni.cz liga and rename them to Fortuna:Liga.
And please add this award:
inSPORTline goal of the week (in czech: inSPORTline gól týdne)
mons
Thanks for this - will include it in the next update, which will be out as soon as possible after the release of the upcoming 19.2 official SI patch

Any changes included in the file will be mostly quite minor and the majority of them will be save-game compatible, but it's always good to have the latest version in place
DemonSoul
Thank you
i'll be waiting to get back on the game then, till then ill give a break to the game
Edit: but when is it coming out? i don't even know
mons
Neither do I, but I suspect it'll be at some point next week possibly...
BAD-RELIGION
My game still as SLB, FCP, Real Hispalis and Real San Sebastian names... whats the point of releasing this if this major bugs are not even corrected?
edit: I had to remove all the # before the CLUBS names.
There is an issue I can't fix since FM2018, Betis B is always R.Betis B, why ? I tried on the editor and on lnc files with no luck
mons
The 1900 files aren't used at all when starting a new game, so they don't need to be touched at all. You can change them anyway if it makes you feel better.
As clearly specified in the main post and as has been the case for some years now, club name changes in this download aren't done through lnc files but through an editor data file, for the simple reason that changing club names through lnc files causes their nicknames to be lost. This means that club name changes need a new save game to be started. If this is not convenient for you or whoever is using the save game, there is a workaround listed in the opening post which gives the same result as the editor data file - but with the ensuing loss of nicknames.
There are screenshots in the main post demonstrating the clubs that you mentioned with their correct name in-game. If this fix isn't working for you, I'm afraid it's probably because you've not installed the files correctly. Can you give me a screenshot of your editor data folder?
BAD-RELIGION
Or you use one or the other one. I prefer lnc to be honest, I like to change the team name and it be applied straight in the game I'm playing without having to start a new one
I had to remove the # in all the lnc file for it to work
BAD-RELIGION
Even confirmed I'm using only the editor data file to make sure nothing is messing up with that. Am I missing something here ?
mons
The only team colours this download affects are Brazilian teams', which are all jumbled up due to licensing reasons. This is done by the file Susie Real Name Fixes - Brazilian kit colour changes.fmf, which needs to be in place before starting a new game. Other than that, no other team colours are affected.
Keep in mind that, as from this year's FM, the text in the kits tab is now only for the colours during a match, I believe. In the pre-game editor, you can change a team's titlebar colours by changing the foreground and background colours in the details tab. Were you referring to any team colours in particular?
BAD-RELIGION
Maybe this is why, I always change the team colour by changing the text.
Didnt see they have a new place for the club colours in the details...
thanks you soooo much!
mons
Welcome
mons
Looks like the last award isn't in the game, and I'm afraid I don't add any new awards, just edit existing ones.
These 4 have been added by SI in the official database - can you tell me the correct name in Czech please?
Rus7M
mons
It's 58148228.
The current name in the database is "Leningradets Leningradskaya Oblast". Does it need to be changed to "Leningradets Roshchino" please?
Cico33
Could you please upload the file? a lot of changes was made.
mons
Not really enough to justify releasing one now and one in the coming days once the official 19.2 update is released by SI...

Anything else I can try?

Come on man, the answer is in the post of mine you quoted just before this.
You need to start a new career for this fix to work. Are you doing so?
