Bit strange we Newcastle didn't announce Hairrera signing and do a joint photo thing. That deal was rumoured to be completed earlier today.

How does he look uninterested? He's played about 20mins in the past year. And in a couple of cameos he's looked quite lively. And by 'having
a go' at fans, that at least he shows he cares.

I agree he's a prat and maybe he should have been released for his off the field activities, but we kept Joey Barton for four years.

And that guy is shouting at someone he doesn't even know in a takeaway in front of his wife and is claiming the moral high ground?

Now let’s face it, Nile is a big lad, while I am not the most fit of 48 year old blokes. However, I have followed this club for 41 years, and while I don’t boo very often I was not going to let this “gangsta man” get away with telling us how to support our club.

I get he might want a return to Buenos Aires, but why does it have to be San Lorenzo?

What difference is San Lorenzo to Boca/River/Velez/Argentinos etc. considering he's not moving for financial or footballing reasons, but strictly for geography.

He's a youth coach or something I think. I can see why that would make San Lorenzo a preferred destination, but it's often reported like San Lorenzo is the important bit of the deal, rather than going to Buenos Aires.

Why not?

I'm guessing there's a really, really intense rivalry, but he wants to move their for personal reasons. I'm guessing that Buenos Aires clubs must swap players regularly because there's loads of them.

Because the five grandes are rivals (even if San Lorenzo aren't direct rivals to Boca/River/Racing/Independiente) and as I said before, he's a San Lorenzo fan. He clearly has a degree of fondness for Newcastle, it seems unlikely he's going to fuck over Newcastle so he can get paid fuck all (pretty much every Argentine club is poor) for a team he doesn't like.

And players do move between Buenos Aires clubs - but that's only because 3/4 of the league are from B.A. - big-names like Coloccini don't move between clubs like that, most big-names get sold abroad. The closest I can think of in recent times is Mauro Camoranesi leaving Lanús for Racing and they aren't even rivals. Most of the older Argentine players returning make a point of going to their club, Maxi Rodriguez and Newell's or David Trezeguet and River for example.

Great prospect but he has slowed down in his progress the last couple of years

Apparently he waived his signing on fee so that Newcastle could use that towards the €2m, so the deal could be completed now rather than him joining in the summer.
