As you can see I've started a career with AFC Wimbledon who currently ply their trade in the npower Football League Two. Also as you can see I'm not exactly lighting things up in my first managerial appointment, quite the opposite actually, it's been a terrible few months. We still haven't won a game in the league and my only victory as manager was against Cardiff City in the Capital One Cup.

Finally we've won a league game after putting in what I'd describe as our best performance of the season against a team competing for a playoff place. Absolutely chuffed with the result and hopefully we can start building on it now, the season expectations is a mid table finish which is certainly within our capability as a playing group.

Maybe further down the track!!

Looks like I'll need all the luck in the world tbh, we've been unable to get any consistency going.

Brought this lad in on a free transfer and I have to say he looks like a cracking player.

I also should add that he scored on his debut in the FA Cup against Tranmere.

So our form has certainly improved but we're still the draw specialists in League Two.

The great news is we've beaten Crewe in the FA Cup and booked a trip to face Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium in the third round. Hopefully we can start picking up a few wins because the longer we sit inside the relegation zone the more and more likely it is our confidence and belief will deteriorate. Our next league game against Accrington is very important as they're just above us in the league table and it would be nice to beat them on their own patch.

An absolute huge result for us and an even bigger comeback.

When we went 2-0 down I thought fuck this we're going to get pumped here and that'll be that for the season.

In the end though we showed our class and character, the great Jack Midson scoring a double as we won 4-2, what a breathtaking game and we're now out of the bottom two.

I think staying up this season is the main priority and then hopefully we can build during the summer if I'm given a new contract.

So we're still involved in a relegation dogfight but I honestly think we're good enough to stay up.

We've had some really close games that have ended in draws and some games that we should have picked up a point end in defeats, I honestly think if we stay up then next season we can push for a top half table finish with a few new signings.

Stoke City are up next in the third round of the FA Cup, we'll need a huge slice of luck to even force a replay.

A narrow defeat against Stoke sends us out of the FA Cup, I really can't complain and I'm extremely proud of how we played. Obviously they could have scored a few more goals had they not hit the crossbar on a few occasions but we could have taken the lead had Jack Midson not struck the bar himself, had that happened who knows how the game would have transpired.

We actually play them at home on the last day, imagine if it's neck and neck on the last day??

Hopefully it doesn't get to that point though, my nerves won't be able to handle that shit.

We've now opened a vital three point gap between ourselves and Accrington.

I've also brought in a new goalkeeper, on a permanent deal, considering Rob Lainton is only here on loan.

So with 14 games to go we have now opened up a 6 point gap between ourselves and Morecambe who occupy the last relegation spot. I'm now confident we're going to stay up, I can tell we've become a lot more consistent and I think we've settled into the 4-3-3 formation well enough now that we can start to challenge sides in most games, meaning we'll be picking up more points, well I hope so anyway.

A disappointing defeat for us against Port Vale in a game we were good enough to get something from.

It's not the end of the world I suppose considering we're still four points ahead of Barnet.

This was an absolutely huge win for the club because it moves us seven points clear with 12 games to go. We did the hard way however, needing recent signing Danny Ireland to save a penalty towards the end of the game to keep our lead intact, it should have been much more comfortable, but in the end we got the three points and other results went our way so I'm happy.

So we've recorded another huge result and this is probably our most complete performance during my time at the club. We were completely dominant up to the point they had a player sent off and at that point I actually feared we might struggle to break them down, you know how it is sometimes when teams go a man down and they defend for their life. In the end however we could have scored double the amount we actually did, it was a complete performance and we've bagged another crucial three points.

We play Barnet in our next league fixture and should we win that game we're safe no doubt about it.

A slender win over Barnet at home all but guarantees our safety in League Two I believe.

We're a massive 13 points clear of them and Morecambe now.

So with just four games to go this season we're sitting comfortably in mid table and are safe from the threat of relegation. It's a bit disappointing that we only start hitting form after January really, I mean the gap between us and the playoff places isn't massive, had we shown more consistency maybe we'd be challenging for a chance to go to Wembley. In the end I've got to be happy with the way the season has panned out, it's not been to bad and I've enjoyed it quite a bit. Only trouble I'm having now is with the board and my contract. My deal runs out in the summer and so far they don't want to speak about a new deal, tight bunch of bastards they're being!!

So the League Two season has drawn to a close and our last few games didn't exactly go to plan. In saying that we had little to play for and it's been a long hard season, part of which we were fighting a relegation battle. Hopefully I'll be still at the club next season to try and cement our place in the top half of the table, maybe even challenge for a playoff place, who knows, but obviously that all depends on the board offering me a new contract, something they're yet to do.

A new two year deal was offered to me recently, which is exactly what I wanted and I've accepted it. So the two year plan is very simple, work towards gaining promotion from League Two. So either we do gain promotion or after those two years we're challenging for an automatic promotion place the following year. Now it's time to try strengthen the squad and if we get that right I feel we'll do very well next season.

So my first full pre season in charge at AFC Wimbledon and I think it was a good one. We played Championship sides and in my opinion didn't do to badly at all, we weren't outplayed in any of the games and we could have pulled off some upsets. I have my favoured starting eleven in mind for the opening day fixture against Exeter, hopefully we'll start League Two with a bang this season.

The expectations this season set down by the board is to consolidate, so I've got the luxury of cementing the sides place in League Two without much pressure and if we can push for a top half finish or a playoff challenge then that'd be unbelievable.

I've brought in three new signings that you'll find below and I think they'll make a big difference, especially Anton Robinson.

Espiacaly Kevan Grundy looks like a player that can turn up big. With massive acceleration, good speed combined with good dribbling and crossing. He is going to be a threat running all day. And at the age of 16 he can only grow.
