What I'm confused about is why Fergie's fine was 4k higher for the same offence as Allardyce, good ol' FA consistency.

Even if he had a bad game (I haven't seen it) a lot of the managers that mention it get charged. This won't be the first time Ferguson escapes any sort of punishment.

Come on - he got away with coming within a few lines of punching the ref at the start of the 2nd half of the Man U-Newcastle game in December and got away with that. Like criticism of the lino is going to register on the FA's radar.

Yep definitely the only people who ever say that are Man United fans.
