I'm Andreas / SotD from the Danish Football Manager scene Football Manager 2013 » FM 2013 » FM13 » FMDanmark.dk - I am currently working on a game based on our beloved Football Manager generic database. The game plot is quite simple. Instead of being a manager, you are a player. The game will be RGB based with real persons in all setups of the game, and it should be quite enjoyable once we get the hang of it.
So atm I'm looking to setup a short video - or it has been done basically - but we are looking to get the final touch, and what better way to make a football commercial video, than using a british voiceover. The land of football. I'm primarily looking for a cockney-accent adult voice, but other accent could potentially do aswell. I'm not all to strong in local dialects as I'm clearly not from around.
I know it sounds kinda strange for a Danish bloke to turn up from nowhere and be looking for an adult cockney accented guy - Hmm, yeah it does actually sound even worse now.
Could anyone be interested in giving it a go?

Yeah a lot of people will. Most will do it for half that amount by the way. But since we are a no budget website, I can't offer anything but the promotion of your voiceover.
I can fully understand that some of you is making a living through this kind of work, but it's much more low key I'm looking for. Simply a british man who wants to talk in 1minute on a mp3 or wav file for the video
If it won't work it's not that big of a deal as I have several danish and american guys up for the job. It was purely a "cool-factor" to have a british male voice, as I see the british football culture as the world leading.

I appreciate the offer, but since the money is coming out of my personal budget at this point, I'm not willing to put in money for a speaker. I'm not even sure the video it self will generate anything. It's all at test basis at this point. We will use it for promotion matters for sure, but whether or not it will generate positive income I'm really not sure.
I could be interested in using your narrative skills, but the first video would have to be free of charge. Once the game get's running, and hopefully generates a bit of money I would be happy to pay you some money for the assistance, but for now I really can't. In most part of the world, hell even on most part of the worlds FM sites people who offer their help, actually are willing to help. I'm sorry I didn't read what is apparently screaming of sarcasm. Oh well, I got my help from another english FM site, and you got a laugh - Win/win.

The "Off the Ball" forum was not the best forum for you to get the response you wanted. Generally the Off-Topic areas are for general chit-chat away from FM. The response is unsurprising, our off-topic and on-topic members have very different posting patterns.

I guess I'm not the only one who can't understand the tone of a reply. I don't really think I'm being "arsey". I just didn't realize that the offers wasn't geniune and responded to that. I can't see how I acted offended or whatever you are trying to imply. I got help from another FM site like I said, which is cool. I only needed one guy to help, and most places people are genuine when they offer their help, unlike here where it wasn't. That is a fact, not me being this or that.
I put the topic in the off-topic area because it is off-topic. And who am I? A guy searching for a little bit of help - Nothing to be "arsey" about mate.
