Due to the latest patch somehow making my 4-1-5 far less effective I've decided to make and upload a new one. An attacking 4-2-4 but using my wide players as advanced playmakers as wingers seem less potent now. Overall team instructions are very similar to the 4-1-5.

I've shown my first 10 matches since switching but I will add I'm now in my 9th season so obviously the playing staff has greatly changed.

Please leave feedback if you do decide to give it a go.

It seems a good tactic, I'm gonna try it with my Derby save.

I've got a question about it. The tactic has 2 WB, but in the screenshot the tactic has 2 IWB. It's correct?

Sorry the WB's are from the newer V2 version, should have changed the screenshots also. The change was to give the team a but more width.

Brilliant to see it's working for others, probably have v3 uploaded later with a slight change to the centre backs.

I'll also change the screenshots too.

Updated to v3 where CB's are changed to 'cover'.

Couple of pics to show first ten games using it (season 10) also showing the Blackburn match as really shouldn't have been as close as it was.

Over 400 downloads and just a couple of comments, why does no one talk anymore?

Still doing well for me in my current save https://sortitoutsi.net/content/57695/well-it-was-gonna-be-a-hearts-career

I've just downloaded this as I'm in a spot of bother with Crystal Palace in season one using a similar formation.

Just beat Leicester 4-1 in the first game using it so it's working so far!

Good to hear, it generally performs well no matter what team you play as providing you have the players for the positions. Never know may even get Benteke scoring again.

Ohh this is actually a good idea. I am sorry but this is kind of new to me. Somehow a bit confused about how it works. Well, if I am not wrong, this is similar to the fantasy that you make your own lineup? Basing on the photos you posted. I actually look good. I honestly did not think about that kind of set up. But I do personally hope that there will changes to the centre back. At least the slightest change. I've been watching sports but not really into it. It interesting to see that this is possible

Hello mate, not sure but may be a bit of a translation issue here but all you need to do is download the tactic file and place it into documents/sports interactive/football manager 2021/tactics

Then in game go to the tactics screen and load the new one into your game.

I sold Benteke 😂 my save is weird, after 17 games I’m a bad result or two away from a relegation scrap, and a good result of two away from fighting for Europe.

A little like this season in real life then.

I'd suggest playing with a ‘balanced’ mentality more often than not, even in games you're expected to win. If away against a tough side then ‘very defensive’ is fine.

For manager shouts always ‘point finger’ and demand more during matches even when winning. And again use ‘point finger’ during team talks.

Here's an update at the end of season 1:

At the end of November after nine games, we were 19th and on six points (with a six-game losing streak in amongst this). We beat Leicester 4-1 after using this tactic for the first time. Some patchy form followed in December, followed by a good January and a mixed February in which we lost 4-2 at home to Southampton (injuries played a part as we were down to the bare bones).

From the beginning of March until the end of the season we went twelve games unbeaten (seven wins and five draws, four wins in a row in May), confirming a seventh-placed finish with a game to spare, and would have qualified for Europe if Wycombe Wanderers didn't win the FA Cup!

Jordan Ayew was my top scorer with 23 in all competitions and 18 in the league, which was surprising. Andros Townsend scored 12 from the right wing which was even more of a shock!

Thank you again for the tactic, it's really good!

Brilliant, the improvement will be where your team have got familiar with the tactic and comfortable playing in it. Hopefully with the right transfers coming in you may be able to make Europe next season.

Sadly there's nothing it can do with random teams winning the FA cup!
