This file will need to be re-applied if/when official patches/updates are released to ensure full compatibility. This is due to the fact that some files which are removed when installing this file are automatically re-installed by Steam when official patches come out.
Some of these changes, ESPECIALLY THE CLUB NAMES, do NOT apply in existing save-games. There's a workaround for that in the first post.
The sortitoutsi real names fix changes the instances of fake names in Football Manager 2021 to the proper, real life names for awards, cities, stadiums and competitions, in cases where the actual name is not licensed, such as Champions League, Europa League and Premier League displaying instead of EURO Cup, EURO Vase and Premier Division respectively. It will also fix the fact that the German and Japanese National teams don't call up real players and that the Bayern Munich and Borussia Mönchengladbach managers have fake names. These are all fully save-game compatible.
There is also a club name changes file, which changes the names of clubs in a way which ensures that any nicknames entered in the default database are retained. This file includes the proper names for Brazilian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian (including Juventus) and French clubs to circumvent licensing restrictions. It also adds real-life media and journalists, encompassing most major footballing nations and continents. Brazilian clubs' text colours are also changed through an editor data file. Finally, it includes a small file which corrects the 3-Letter competition names to correspond with any changes made in the lnc files. For all the files in this paragraph to work, however, you will need to start a new game.
Follow the below instructions to install this version of this file

Press and hold down the ‘Option’ (Alt) key
This will bring up the ‘Library’, click to enter then go to ‘Application Support’ -> ‘Sports Interactive’ -> ‘Football Manager 2021’
This should be what your editor data folder looks like now. There may initially be a config.xml file in this folder and it can be safely overwritten; it is generated by FM every time the game starts.
To make sure the files have been applied correctly, go to the Champions Cup and EURO Vase in your saved game, and they should be renamed to Champions League and Europa League respectively. If you are in the middle of a save-game, Japanese national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not immediately. Do keep in mind that this file does not add Japan-based players, who are not in the official database and will need a third-party add-on to be created and added.
Club names are only changed if you apply the editor data files before starting a new game. For a workaround if you've already started a new save-game, then please read the opening post of this thread.

To be fair, as long as Zebre is gone I'm happy. I can handle the “English Premier Division”. Family life is crazy here, so first time in over a decade i hadn't bought FM through steam. I have Game Pass for the kids, so thought i would try FM21 out when i saw it added, i can live with it!

Download UWPDumper: https://github.com/Wunkolo/UWPDumper
With developer mode on - Win + R, enter `ms-settings:developers`, Ok
Open the FM2021, till the load screen
Open the UWPDumper, it will scan the open apps, just type the fm.exe ID, after that, it will extratc the files to a DUMP folder. (If in doubt, see the linked video.)
Now you can copy the content of this folder to a new one, C:\FM2021 for example ( You can name it or place it in anyway/anywhere you want)
In this folder, follow the regular instructions from this post, deleting and replacing the files.
Close and uninstall the FM2021 (you have to uninstall, otherwise this wont work)
Inside the new folder (the one you create after copy the DUMP folder) , type, on the adress bar: "powershell", then enter.
Just type the comand: Add-AppxPackage -path .\appxmanifest.xml -register
The game will be installed with the new modified files

That's much too complex to be practical I'm afraid, so I have no intention of releasing a fix for Gamepass, if that's what it takes 😢

I had assumed you were speaking about the Gamepass version; is that not the case?

Nah that is the problem with Gamepass. There are 2 versions :
Right one is the “Full” version and in 19 i got everything working there (even contacted you then 😛 )
I am playing the left version.

Seriously? If you download a file from FM Scout, go to complain about it there not here 😕
If installed correctly, this file works perfectly fine, including the German national team fix. If this fix is installed in the middle of a save game, then the German national team will only populate with real players when the team is next called up, and not instantly.

Yes, I answered that question already and it's set out clearly in the installation instructions and main post too. It should be quite clear, I would have thought.
With the recent release of 21.3, remember that you have to apply the files from this download into the 2130 folder as well.

I just realized that in Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A I had the names only short version. Example: FLA, ATM, COR… anyone happens?

That's because you either didn't apply the file before starting your save game or possibly because you didn't reapply it when an official patch was released.

I'm afraid I'm in bed for the night, so the new release will have to wait till tomorrow morning. For those who can't wait, make sure the dbc/permanent and edt/permanent folders in your 2140 folder look like the ones in the screenshot, and that your lnc folder does too.
