Hi all,
Does anyone know a tool or script to convert an excel file into new players for FM? I'm thinking of starting a wonderkid database for the next FM version where people here on the forums can suggest new players by adding scouting reports (so that I can add these new talents to the DB). Most easy would be if I could generate FMF files with players with some basic information (name, date of birth, attributes, height, length, maybe even position) so that I can reduce the amount of tasks inside the editor.
Would this be possible/interesting and do you want to contribute to such a project?

i am looking for the exact same thing. I'm working on a legends DB but instead of the legends themselves it's their kids/relatives but they keep the original player's stats

I too would love something like this as I have undertaken a regen name project to include old legends-its very time consuming

@Krlenjushka was going to include people in that tool which may assist us, as for clubs etc its brilliant
@Krlenjushka Hi mate is there any plans to upgrade this to allow people to be added and if so what options would be possible-
D.O.B./ Place born /P.A. +C.A./ position /height/weight/ ethnicity etc

Version 1.2 should include some basic player info. However i dont know when im gonna release this. Lack of time and motivation.

I've been looking into making something like this for the site, similar to the data update where people can submit and edit players online and generate a file.
If you'd be keen to be involved @wfm18 that would be awesome 🙂

Wooow that sounds cool! We could start our own Sortitoutsi wonderkid + missing players database. Let me know how I can help you out. Would be nice if there would also be some kind of governance on like player potentials, fact checking like the data update 🙂

Legends as well hopefully. In theory if we create Henry, Maradona, Roberto Baggio etc online now they'll be able to convert into any new or old game.
Yes I agree governance would be crucial, would you er be interested in taking a leading role 😅

Yeah, then we also need to think about certain player types (legend, wonderkid, missing player, …) or even staff members - so that you can download only the appropriate players you'd like to download.
I'd love to play a part in managing it, assuming it would be similar to the data update system.

I was doing a regen/legend file but as you can see user participation was non existent and with that you can stagger the times when the legends appear in game[due to their DOB] rather than having the DB flooded with high end CA/PA youth players all in one go

been working on a fantasy DB for myself for quite a while, the basis being that I love the idea of managing legends but (obviously immersion takes a big hit. My idea is basically to put them in the game with first name changes and the real player listed as relations. Everthing else about the players except the first name is unchanges. Where possible I've used official attributes from previous FM games, and big credit to the “legends of the beautiful game” db for attributes from older players.
Like I said, I've only been working on this for myself so there's definitely a little bias in regards to certain players lol. But I'd gladly post it/PM it to anyone that would want to look at it or tweak it to their liking

Hi Happy New Year mate, sorry to write to you in a totally different post but I could not write to you directly. I bought FM22 yesterday and since then I have not been able to play as I cannot activate my editor league and data file from FM21. I get two errors either the adding to the child competitions as its just in parent mode or this category as been used twice in the settings. Could you please help me I can send you my league and data file or if you could please just make a new one with Albania's competitions with the verified rules. Just the competition ofcouse will do the rest myself will be very grateful to you as ofcourse teams have been relegated and promoted and it would be the best option for me.
