This file will need to be re-applied if/when official patches/updates are released to ensure full compatibility. This is due to the fact that some files which are removed when installing this file are automatically re-installed by Steam when official patches come out.
Some of these changes, ESPECIALLY THE CLUB NAMES, do NOT apply in existing save-games. There's a workaround for that in the first post.
The sortitoutsi real names fix changes the instances of fake names in Football Manager 2022 to the proper, real life names for awards, cities, stadiums and competitions, in cases where the actual name is not licensed, such as Champions League, Europa League and Premier League displaying instead of EURO Cup, EURO Vase and Premier Division respectively. It will also fix the fact that the German and Japanese National teams don't call up real players. These are all fully save-game compatible.
There is also a club name changes file, which changes the names of clubs in a way which ensures that any nicknames entered in the default database are retained. This file includes the proper names for Brazilian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian (including Juventus) and French clubs, as well as Manchester Utd, to circumvent licensing restrictions. It also adds real-life media and journalists, encompassing most major footballing nations and continents. Brazilian clubs' text colours are also changed through an editor data file. Another editor data file creates the Ajax non-playing staff and the German national team manager missing from the database due to licensing restrictions. Finally, it includes a small file which corrects the 3-Letter competition names to correspond with any changes made in the lnc files. For all the files in this paragraph to work, however, you will need to start a new game.

You can find these folders by clicking, in the Finder, the Go menu in the menu bar, then choose Go to Folder and type the folder path name (obviously inserting your username), then click Go.
You can get to the Library folder by simply selecting Go from the top bar and holding "alt" key - The Library folder suddenly appears on the drop down menu
For Mac Lion users, the Library folder will be hidden. Use this link to find out how to show it.
For those struggling to find the Steam and Steam Apps folder etc using Mac with the new OS High Sierra, this link below shows how you can unhide your Library folder which will then let you find the other folders.
STEP 2:
COPY the dbc, edt and lnc folders from the downloaded pack
STEP 3:
PASTE them into each of your respective folders mentioned in step 1.
These are what the respective folder structures should look like in the 2240 folder:
dbc:
dbc/permanent:
edt/permanent:
lnc:
STEP 4:
COPY the 11 files located in the EDITOR DATA FILES folder in the downloaded pack
STEP 5
PASTE to \Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2022\editor data
This is also the same folder to be used for Gamepass.
As stated by SI themselves, for Gamepass, however:
You are not able to change the user data location as such but you can use the user data folder in Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2022 to store facepacks and graphics.
Equivalent folder for Mac
Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive
By default this folder is hidden, so to access you need to do as follows:
Open Finder
Click ‘Go’ from the menubar
Press and hold down the ‘Option’ (Alt) key
This will bring up the ‘Library’, click to enter then go to ‘Application Support’ -> ‘Sports Interactive’ -> ‘Football Manager 2022’[/spoiler]
This should be what your editor data folder looks like now. There may initially be a config.xml file in this folder and it can be safely overwritten; it is generated by FM every time the game starts.
This should be what your editor data folder looks like now. There may initially be a config.xml file in this folder and it can be safely overwritten; it is generated by FM every time the game starts.
To make sure the files have been applied correctly, go to the Champions Cup and EURO Vase in your saved game, and they should be renamed to Champions League and Europa League respectively. If you are in the middle of a save-game, Japanese and German national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not immediately. Do keep in mind that this file does not add Japan-based players, who are not in the official database and will need a third-party add-on to be created and added.
Club names are only changed if you apply the editor data files before starting a new game. For a workaround if you've already started a new save-game, then please read the opening post of this thread.

I've created players/staff with the pre-game editor but when I use the unfaking files, the created staff doesn't show. The staff does show if unfaking isn't used. What is likely the issue for me?
mons
This is an English-language forum, so please post in English.
I suspect it's a bug with some editor data files. Worth keeping making a report on the official forums so SI can investigate and resolve this if needed.
moondog777
When using 2 patches (or more) with created players/staff, only one is shown in the game.
Merging the patches doesn't do the trick. they have to be put in manually in 1 patch

I've seen several comments on the SI forum reporting about problems with the editor, similar to this issue. As @mons suggested, it's best to ask them why one of your editor files is not working correctly when you enable multiple files.

tried this and changed all 3 lnc files as instructed and it didn't work for Zebre. Interestingly the kit also defaulted too after the update but the badge didn't
tombo457
Hi,
I have a small issue and wondered if anyone had the same or could explain it. I've created a new save and applied all these fixes, they all seem to work fine. However I've just been updating facepacks and I've noticed that it doesn't seem to load the face of Hansi Flick even though I have his face as ID 884970. It loads the face for Hag so seems to just be an individual issue. I don't have the editor installed so can't see if his ID is changed as part of this, can someone let me know if there is a fix for this or if I've done something wrong?
PS: Huge thanks to the author and contributors of this file, it is fantastic work and hugely appreciated.

This file does not fix any graphics. I believe the Juventus change must be done before starting a new game via an editor data file.
pezzahawkins
I am not seeing Hansi Flick in my game, even with the fix editor file.
I've also created the new West Ham Czech Directors using the editor and for some reason they do not show?
mons
You need to have the file in place before starting a new game.
As for the second post, it's got nothing to do with this file, but there is apparently a bug with created persons not appearing if you use more than 1 editor data file. Hopefully SI are looking into it and will resolve it soon.
pezzahawkins
Thanks Mons, I am though starting a new game and still no Hansi…. could it be that I am using too many data editor files?
mons
Can I have a screenshot of your editor data folder? Make sure the files from the screenshot in the main post are all in your folder.
pezzahawkins
Here it is… thanks
mons
Start a new test career without the Coventry file loaded and I'll wager he loads this time 👍
pezzahawkins
Ok cool, that did work - thank you.
This now creates another problem though, there are changes to Coventry City that I want to make, so how do you best advise I go about this?
Basically I like to change a few things about the club, create Joy Seppala as owner, etc. It's odd because I created her in that editor file and she showed up, yet the West Ham Directors that I created (in different file) didn't?
Regarding the West Ham Directors I made (that don't show), do you think this is a case of ‘is what it is’ until there is a fix?
It seems I am not able to have all edits that I want working at the the same time?
mons
pezzahawkins
Ok - so I guess I answered my own question, for now only 1 editor file containing a new person will work (in this case Flick). Good to know, I will keep an eye this and hope for a resolution.
Thank you for help!

@mons
I have a couple of edits for Dutch amateur second teams. A couple of them are called ‘Club X Zaterdag’ or ‘Club X Zondag’ instead of ‘Jong Club X’.
This is done so that for example AFC (ID: 988, playing in the Tweede Divisie) has their second team also present in the Eerste Klasse, while being the same club. Similar setup to Ajax in the Eredivisie and Jong Ajax in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. Although in AFC's example, the second team is not a ‘Jong’-team ('Jong' stands for ‘Young’, comparable to for example Barca B).
For all the clubs below, the second team is named Zondag/Zaterdag but is not featuring in any of the leagues. So they end up with all other ‘Jong’ teams in one ‘Jong’-teams exclusive competition. For aesthetics, these names should therefore be altered.

Thanks for the news, I have the same problem with the Flick file and a db of J-League players and no Flick is created. All that remains is to wait for an update from Sports interactive.
Another question: no-fake solves the Juventus-Zebre license problem, but there is a problem for the Juventus u23 logo. I use TCM Logos and in the team screen you see the logo correctly, but in the screen of a single player of the team then the logo is not seen.
Is it a no-fake problem?
Thanks

Read the installation instructions carefully and follow them. If you're applying this fix after starting a career, then you'll need the workaround in the first post to get the correct club names to display.
