It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.

To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

You've downloaded just the 2022.07 update pack. In fact you've got just 6,504 images plus the config file, and not the full megapack, which contains over 350,000 images.

Evening,
I am having issues with the cutout faces (attached images similar to previous questions asked towards other members). I have tried redoing it several times, any help would be appreciated.
The faces are not loading in the game is the issue.

The logos and kits appear normally. I have tried (I know it's not part of this) DF11 and worked fine. I have removed it since though since I prefer cutouts way more.
I did change the preferences as well, turning cache off and the such.

Just those two folders (faces, iconfaces). The iconfaces folder has a similar number of images (minus 5 to be exact) but at a smaller resolution.

You've shown me just the graphics/faces/sortitoutsi/faces folder. Can I also see the graphics/faces folder? Can I also see a screenshot of the in-game preferences, just to be sure?
All seems fine so far, so it might be the case there's a remnant of the previous DF11 installation stopping the cutouts from appearing…

Can you do a search for “config” in the graphics/faces folder and post the results in this manner?
This can be achieved by posting the word itself in the red circle, choosing the view tab via the blue circle, the details option in the black circle and making sure the folder column in the green circle is large enough to display the full path,

Re-installing FM will not resolve the issue, as the user data folder will remain exactly the same, and that's where the issue is…

Okay, I got it to work somehow.
I deleted the entire Sports Interactive folder (kept the kits, logos, cutouts, trophies in my documents folder) then pasted them back in after the fresh installation.
I wish I could explain how it worked, but it did. Might be something left over that prevented the cutouts from loading. Regardless, your help is outstanding- thank you plenty.

As you know, i want to get every complete pack (per year), to keep all my FM with realistic faces.
And as you know, not every torrents from the archives are working, because there is no seeds, because these torrents are too old.
So what am i doing with all these faces packages ? Well, i'm keeping them on an USB key ( a big one) to secure them for the rest of my life ! (if i must change my PC components, especially my pc storage). I've got FM14, FM19, FM20, FM21, FM22 packs

I'm almost certain this is something I've done wrong. I've had custom content on FM22 since about January - player faces, skins & logo packs etc. Everythings worked brilliantly until now.
Now, as soon as I click on a players name, the game crashes. I can't look at player specific detail.
I've removed the custom content, and now everythings working okay - but it's not the same! Now I've had all the logo's and player faces, playing without them is taking away from the experience.
Can anyone help? Has anyone come up against this issue before?

Hello mates! I noticed in my latest save that Hansi Flick's face is missing from cut-out pack and I'm surpsrised because you ‘re making a great job. Since I believe this manager is quite famous and “big name” I’m pointing this out for you to add it in your next update, probably. Thank you and keep up thw good work!

Hi there,
In my game his ID number got changed from 884970 to 2002050615. If you search for 884970 you'll find his portrait, in the game's preferences tick the box to list ID numbers to check Hansi Flick's current ID number in your game.
Then go to the config file for the megapack portraits (Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2022\graphics\pictures\players\normal\megapack 2022.08) or where you store them on your PC.
Change the line for 884970 to the number you found e.g.
<record from="884970" to="graphics/pictures/person/*/portrait"/> * number ID from your game save

The new UID will depend on which editor data files you're running and will probably be different on everyone's save games.
The bit in the lnc file won't make any difference at all, I'm afraid.

Well, now i have my facepack. But I wanna do some modifications on a few pictures.
So i have downloaded the "Faces-pictures" with this :

Now i want the Icons-Faces pictures. I saw that the dimensions of theses pictures are 25x18. But when i do the modification of the dimensions, the picture is deformed.

You should change the Canvas Size - which will add empty space to the side of the image, not the Image Size/Dimensions.

Finally, after a long time working on it… I understood why it wasn't showing up. It was because i didn't understand the “Canvas size” setting. I am a noob 😁
Now, it's good and i have my icon-faces.
And it is working on GIMP and Photopea just fine.
