1. How do I install the cut-out megapack if I’m using Steam on Windows?
Watch this YouTube tutorial video, which should you guide you on the steps you need to follow to install it. Although it is for an older version of FM, the steps are still the same. You need to use Winrar (or a similar program) to extract the downloaded file.
This is what the MP folder should look like for the respective version of FM you're using:

Anything beyond the blue line is up to you and how you want to structure your folders.
The preferences should look like in the below screenshot:

To get them to look like this, navigate to your preferences on the welcome screen or by using the drop-down menu near the top right of the menu within your save game.
Choose the advanced tab (the blue square within the screenshot above) and select all from the drop-down menu on the right (the red square within the screenshot above).
Scroll down to the interface section near the middle of the list, where you are to make sure that:
• the “Use caching to decrease page loading times” box is unticked
• the “Reload skin when confirming changes in Preferences” box is ticked
After clicking confirm, it may take a few seconds or minutes for all the graphics to be loaded and you should now see all the graphics you have downloaded appear in your save game.
Once your skin is reloaded, you can re-tick the "Use Caching to Decrease Page Loading Time" button so that the splash screen at the start takes a lot less longer to load. However, the above process needs to be undertaken every time you add graphics to your game to ensure that the game "reads" them.
2. How do I install the cut-out megapack if I’m using a Mac OS?
From FM20 onwards, there's been a substantial change to how Mac FM documents are stored. Previously the files would automatically go in the Documents folder here:
Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 202x
Now the files will instead appear in the following location:
Users/YOUR Mac USERNAME/Library/Application Support/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 202x
By default this folder is hidden, so to access you need to do as follows:
Open Finder
Click ‘Go’ from the menubar
Press and hold down the ‘Option’ (Alt) key
This will bring up the ‘Library’, click to enter then go to ‘Application Support’ -> ‘Sports Interactive’ -> ‘Football Manager 202x -> graphics’ (create the last folder if necessary
Anything beyond this path line is up to you and how you want to structure your folders.
The preferences should look like in the below screenshot:

To get them to look like this, navigate to your preferences on the welcome screen or by using the drop-down menu near the top right of the menu within your save game.

3. I don’t want to have the megapack in the default user data folder – can I place it elsewhere and how would I do so?
You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.
The above step does not apply if you’re playing on Gamepass, in which case the user data location has to be the default one (i.e. Documents / Sports Interactive / Football Manager 202x)
It is recommended that the user data location is not placed within the Steam installation folder as this may cause issues.
4. How do I install the cut-out megapack if I’m using Gamepass?
If you're using Gamepass, then you have to use the default user data folder - point 4 above does not and can not apply to you.
Frequently Asked Questions
If you're not a premium member, it is recommended that you download the base megapack via torrent by going to our cut-out megapack download page. After which, you should then download all the update packs released to date and apply them chronologically.
If you're a premium member, just download the most recent complete pack.
If you already have a version of our Cut-Out Faces Megapack installed, then click "Download Latest Changes" and you'll be presented with a list of all the updates we've released since you've last downloaded a file. Simply download any you might have missed, starting with the oldest.

Torrent files need a torrent client to be downloaded. I personally use µTorrent but other common clients are BitTorrent, Vuze and Deluge. For those using torrents for the first time, here is a general walk-through on how to download torrents and a specific guide for µTorrent.
Be aware that it will take a substantial amount of time to download the file due to its sheer size and that other people depend on you hosting the file to get it so please leave your torrent client on after you have fully downloaded it. The etiquette is generally accepted to be to upload as much as you download, although this might not always be possible. The older the torrent file, the less likely it is that there will still be users seeding it.
If done correctly, you should be asked if you want to overwrite files – accept. You should have one folder for faces and another folder for iconfaces, and no sub-folder whatsoever in them.
These steps are to be repeated for every update pack downloaded, and they are to be installed chronologically.
Secondly, for files as large as this, the calculation of the extraction time will be wildly incorrect at the start. After a while, it'll show a more realistic timeframe, which shouldn't be more than an hour or two if you have a good setup and few programs running at the same time.

The older the torrent version you’ll download, the less likely it’ll be there’ll be any seeds for it, naturally.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.
The likelihood is that you've put the iconfaces in the faces folder, or used the wrong config file for each folder. As a result, the smaller images (in 25x18) are being upscaled to be displayed in the person's profile, hence the blurring. Re-install the update pack again, making sure you put the contents of each folder in the right place.
Alternatively, you can download fmXML and generate a config yourself. There's a video on YouTube on how to use it but it's really easy and the instructions are quite straight-forward.
To get them to show, you should individually download the cut-out faces that you want from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

I'm sorry but I have no idea what you're trying to say here. A more concise explanation could help because I have no idea what you're trying to do and what isn't working; that screenshot is completely out of context, for example 😕
If you want to add images yourself to your game which are not in the megapack, put them in a separate folder and generate a separate config file with fmXML.
If you want to add the update packs, just put the downloaded files in the existing folder, overwriting when prompted. Each update pack's config file adds the new images automatically, there's no reason for you to do anything other than transferring the file and accepting the overwrite prompts.
If what you're trying to do isn't covered by the above paragraphs, describe your issue better and we'll do our best to assist 👍

If I search config.xml in graphics I got a lot of results, cause any packs (logos, kits ecc ecc) got config…
Are you sure?
mons
Yes. If you need to scroll down to see all the entries, please give me screenshots of all the entries, showing clearly the folder itself. It might be there is one or more config files for facepacks in there that you are not aware of, and I might be able to spot them in this way…

Here your screen….I also try DF11 Megapack and works perectly…I don't know why only with this megapack 2022 I got this problem…. :-(

I'm stumped too 😢
My suggestion would be to download the update packs and install them chronologically, overwriting when prompted. Maybe that'll help…

Hi,
I have extracted the megapack complete pack and overwritten some files when it has asked because there are files with the same name. I haven't selected yes to all as I've confirmed the latest file before choosing whether to overwrite (not all overwrite suggestions are to the latest file).
Can you confirm this is the correct method of installation?
Thank you
mons
What download method did you use? If you download the entire megapack, you should have all the latest files already and no need to overwrite anything.
If you used any other method, then you should be safe to overwrite images, assuming you installed any update packs chronologically (if applicable).
mattrano
i downloaded the complete megapack directly from the website (single file). I did some digging and it seems there are some files with exactly the same name, but the end on one is ‘.png’ and the end on the other is ‘.PNG’.
mons
Hmm, I see. The game doesn't read the images in PNG (for some arcane reason) so be sure to retain the ones in .png only. I imagine we're talking tiny amounts right?
mattrano
Yeah I’m overwriting with the newest file regardless of PNG or png and then if PNG I’m changing them to png so they work.
Yes, only a small amount of files involved.

I am using FM18 and today I downloaded via torrent and installed the latest face pack. I have a problem probably described in point 12.
Did I understand correctly that I need to download the pack v. 10.00 and then manually install dozens of updates up to v.22.09?
This romp will take all day :-(
mons
Which version of the torrent did you download? If you download v22.0 of the torrent, you only need to download the update packs.
ivolga
I downloaded version 22.00 and all updates to version 22.09
And now I have a lot of portraits are not displayed

You are supposed to install the update packs in the same folder, overwriting images when prompted. I suspect you didn't do this. The fact that instead of a cut-out you have a blank space would seem to indicate that you do not have the full megapack in place, because that's what happens when the game is looking for an image in the config which is not located in the folder.
Can you please post screenshots of your faces folder, showing clearly the full path and the amount of images contained in that folder?
ivolga

This screenshot shows my faces folder, and the amount of images. In addition, it can be seen that Hugo Lloris does not have a portrait in the game, although it is in the folder and in the “config” file.
I always create the “config” file myself using the "graphics configurator"
mons
Try using the config file which comes with the most recent update pack instead. You don't needs to generate a new config file yourself.
ivolga
Ok i tried but no luck.
This did not surprise me, because I have been working with FM graphics for a long time and I know how it works.
I guess my problem is described here - http://joxi.ru/vAWLKqT3aVgVrW
But, unfortunately, this recommendation does not work.
I checked the download links for version 10 and 11.
There have been no seeds for torrent files for 2 days now.
Direct upload via "uploaded" or "depositFiles" is not available - "This file does not exist"
mons
In truth, it's unlikely anybody will still be hosting older versions of the torrent file.
However, I'm not sure your issue is related to that in the screenshot. I suspect it might be caused by another folder containing an errant config file for facepacks somewhere within your user data folder.
Can I have a screenshot of Documents \ Sports Interactive \ Football Manager 2018 \ Graphics?
Also, in this folder, can you do a search of 8428653 (i.e. Hugo Lloris' UID) and post the results in this manner?
This can be achieved by posting the UID in the red circle, choosing the view tab via the blue circle, the details option in the black circle and making sure the folder in the green circle is long enough to display the full path.
This will help me see if there is one or more other folders in your user data folder which contains one or more other facepacks…
If that only brings up the images in the faces and iconfaces folder, can you re-download the Lloris cut manually from here?
Download this one:

Thank you very much for your attention.
I have downloaded and installed pack v.13.00 for FM2021.
Now I have no problems. Despite the fact that I did not perform any manipulations with the folders or with config file.
I think the problem may indeed be with 22.0 torrent file compression.
In addition, I can assume a problem with my archiver program. I use WinRAR version 5.40. Perhaps I could use another archiver or the latest version of WinRAR. But it's hard to check. The unzipping procedure takes in my case about 8 hours.
mons
Could be. All's well that ends well anyway 👍
Lpitsa
For example if i only want faces from the belgian leauges
mons
I've merged your thread into this one, as this is answered in the third FAQ from the bottom, as visible at the top of the page.
Lpitsa
But i want to know how to do it per country and not like one by one or is it not possible ?
mons
Lpitsa
Alright can you maybe zip the belgian folder in the megapack and send it here?
Qvordrup
There is no Belgien folder (it does not exists) 🤨. Only way to do is, is by doing it your self. That means collecting all the faces and making a config to go along with it 👍
zahogo
I installed the face pack months ago, just like I did for many years. But in this year's game, icon faces in the right-click menu when you right-click on player name can be seen, but there is nothing seen in the player profile. I did all the instructions, and re-installed it maybe 3 times. I play the game via xbox game-pass, and I have my Documents on the D drive, not the Windows-installed C one. It got kind of complicated, but I have the FM file in both drives' documents file somehow, so I uploaded the pack into both of them. But nothing changed. Can anyone PLEASE help me? It is such a dissatisfaction…
mons
I've moved your post to here.
For Gamepass, you need to install files in the default user data folder. Anywhere else and the game won't pick them up.

Im trying to download the Cut Out Player Faces archive to my computer but i have a shit one, so i was wondering if theres a way to reduce the amount of archives of the pack, like reducing the faces of the most of the leagues (i would be happy having the ones from the major european leagues).
mons
I'm afraid that's not possible yet.
