FM 24 - Wierd National team selection

Okay so i am managing Ivory Coast and in my National pool there is a total of 4 GK to choose from. I tend to holiday between matches so i do not always go and select my squad myself. So here is the funny thing. I think two of my 4 possible GK's was injured and when i was about to play my first match i saw that there was not called up any GK. Long story short i played a CB in goal (Instead of 1 of 3 fake players). Have anyone else had this happend on a save?

It's because of the amount of players in your game. If you start with a large database, there's only going to be so many Ivorian players available, and unless you select Ivory Coast to have all players of nationality included, the game will only produce a handful of newgens each year. That along with more players retiring than newgens coming through means the number of players will be constantly going down.
