It's a known issue with FM26 - read this. We're assuming this issue will get resolved in upcoming official patches/updates.
The new players were added before FM26 was released and didn't have the right UID yet. We've started the process of mapping them to the correct person's UID.
When you have a blank space instead of a cut-out, it means there is a config file pointing to a folder in which an image with that UID is not present. This generally happens when an update pack is installed in a separate folder and not part of the overall faces folder, or there is a rogue config file somewhere. It could also be that you have somehow not downloaded the full megapack but only part of it. Search within the graphics folder for the UID of this person, and you will probably find the secondary image. Delete that folder, and it should be fine.

In line with guidance on the official SI forums, At present, FM26 cannot handle multiple files with the same name. For example, if you have two files with the name "kit.png", it will not load both. and Player Faces: These work fine. You do not need the icon files anymore, and they can cause issues with the note above. Delete them.
As a result, the iconfaces are no longer available for download because they're not needed. You should also delete the iconfaces folder manually from your system too 👍

You need to change your user data location. Simple steps on how to do so can be found here.

The torrent file includes the base megapack uploaded just before that year’s FM version is released. Any and all subsequent update packs are to be downloaded separately.
For those who have never used torrents, in the vast majority of cases, it's just a question of downloading the client program (a small file, less than 1MB) and then downloading the megapack torrent file (a tiny file, around 20k) and then letting the program do the job.

Please report this so that they can be reuploaded. Since the files are hosted outside our pages, there isn't much we can do about this unfortunately. You could try downloading the pack via torrent and get it this way.

To speed it up, it is recommended that you have as few programs running as possible so that the system can dedicate as many resources to the extraction as it possibly can.

You might have a poor internet connection or your browser might have some extensions which interrupt this download. Having loads of downloads ongoing and/or streaming may also de-prioritise this download.
Try using Google Chrome in incognito mode (or the equivalent mode for other browsers) and you should be able to resume the download from the point it was interrupted, if that happens.

Down the years, after an update pack was released, it was noted that some images included therein where of the wrong person, with a wrong extension or duplicated. Due to the way the download system is structured, these cannot be removed from the download, so there may well be a couple of hundred images’ worth of difference, depending on the version you download.
Our megapack covers 25,000 teams and it's impossible to cater for these kind of requests since players and staff get transferred or sacked or retire etc and recreating and reuploading 25,000 different smaller packs would be an impossible task. That's why we have all the images in a megapack so that everything is captured therein.
These persons do not appear in the default database for licensing reasons. This means that they only appear in your save-game because they were added via a custom file, generally the real name fix file. However, this means that their UID (which is what is used to map a person's image to the right individual) is different, and so the game cannot assign the image to them from your existing facepack.
To get them to show, you should individually download any previously available cut-out faces from here (or use the UID to find them in your existing facepack if you don't use the cut-out megapack), put them in a separate folder to your existing facepack and create a config file just for them using the method outlined in here (which works for all facepack styles, not just the cut-out megapack).

It's a licensing issue. Download this file (or the equivalent for your version of FM) to resolve it.

However, I have no idea how you could have possibly messed up the installation so badly that the game doesn't even open.

Currently downloading the face cutout megapack and I see that apart from all 13 original parts, there are 10 “changes” rar files. Do I need to download these and extract them also in order for my face packs to work? Or can I just download the original 13 parts?

You need to download the 13 parts first, then all 10 update packs too.
It might be easier to download the torrent file instead of the 13 parts, though.

I have an issue that most of the cut out pictures of player in youth teams are not loading in game. I downloaded 20ish cut outs to update some of old ones in game and everything was OK … but the faces of players like Harry Amass , Jack Fletcher, Mikey Moore, Shea Lacey was not loaded… strangely all of them are in youth teams. Where might be the problem?

As far as I can tell, you have only downloaded up to update pack 2024.02. If you've downloaded cuts for people who weren't in the megapack at that point, then the config file you have will not include these people. I would suggest you download all the update packs released since then to be sure it all works out fine.

i was extracting the premium file when all of a sudden it asked me if i want to replace file ,i clicked yes but im scared i replaced something importend???

If you're not sure, then download the entire megapack and install again - otherwise you were probably overwriting a face with the same UID or a config.xml file.

My PC has currently taken over 12 hours and counting to extract the whole megapack from the zip file, is that a normal amount of time? It seems crazy.

Where's the link to download the whole megapack? It says on the site there should be a 2024.10 megapack that's over 12gb big, but I can only find the link for the original 2024.00. Great work as always mons & the team, FM wouldn't be FM without you :9

The user data folder (i.e. where your editor data files, graphics and save games are saved) is different to the above. I believe the user data folder for Gamepass is
\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2024\, so the installation instructions should be the same for you.That link for the entire megapack is only for premium users. If you aren't, you can download the 2024.00 torrent file and the subsequent update packs separately.

hey, after I set up everything, there is some players of my club that their face is not in the pack, so they are shown like in the photo, is there a solution for this or shall i install the new gen pack ?

Lucas Besozzi is in the megapack, so you don't have the full megapack. Remove what you have and download everything from scratch.

Hi - I don't think this is covered in the FAQs but apologies if it is. I have downloaded the megapack and keep getting an error message when trying to unzip it. Have tried downloading Winrar and using that to unzip, but having the same issue.
The error message says an unexpected error is preventing the archive from being extracted. And no error description is available.
Any suggestions welcomed! Thanks

It might very well be that the full file somehow didn't get downloaded, so it can't be extracted. Try downloading it again - the downloaded file should be 12.39GB.

Same as @FMStrawzy said, really, but only saying Winrar instead.
That error message is shown if you try to extract the file with the default Windows extractor, which doesn't work for the megapack file.
