The intention is to have everything in a single pack. It's too much work to keep on top of 2 separate packs, especially when it comes to people who move from the men's game to the women's, and vice versa. It's one game and mapping images is the exact same process, so it's the easier way forward for us.

Any idea on when we might be able to expect the new player packs with all the new players / wonderkids added? Don't wanna rush any of you guys obviously, just asking if there is definitive timespan or deadline you might've set when thinking about a release / how much you've done already. I also know that we've skipped a year and therefore it takes more time adding double as many players as before and also that most ID's still need to be updated or added. Just wanted to ask nicely without putting any pressure on you guys & obviously thanks for ur work!

I'll admit I hadn't considered that. The way around that would be to have three packs: men's, women's, and staff. That however is certainly not ideal and would not expect them to do that.

I think you realise now how difficult it would be to administer, if not downright impossible. And there is very little benefit to doing so anyway, at the end of the day. One pack it is 😉

Hi all,

I’ve been playing FM since 2008 and have downloaded facepacks every year without fail, always top notch.

However, with FM26 the facepacks look awful when uploaded. They’re not sharp at all and there’s this odd grey line running across the top of every face.

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this, or if there’s a known fix? And do Sortitoutsi plan to sort (no pun intended!) this issue soon?

I'm not a staff member here. But… those pictures seem to be fine IMO.

That line above pictures is most likely a flaw in FM UI. That is the upper border of the pic.

I noticed that (newer) pictures of women players don't have that line.

Is that because those pictures were processed in another way, or a flaw in the code of FM UI?

After adding a facepack I have a problem with logopacks some mens teams like Real Madrid, Real Betis or Sevila have default logo no matter what logo pack I use.

Problem solved. I messed up the folder layout.

I think you should reconsider this. For a file that's already huge in size, I don't see why I should have to take up space for something I'm not going to ever use. Having the choice wouldn't be hard, I'm certain you could do it. 1 pack men's, 1 pack women's. You wouldn't even need to change the xml  

If we do this, tomorrow someone might come and say "I don't use the French league, make packs by country". Probably nobody uses the full pack. Do you load all the leagues in the game? Probably not, so we can't make custom packs for everyone.

You probably don't use 50% of the faces in the pack so why not go through and delete them as well? you act like there's going to be 50 thousand pictures of female players and it's going to add gigs onto the actual pack, now tell us what your real issue is…

I guess I am in the minority in that I do load every player and league funnily but I get your point. SI themselves have been good about making the two a separate experience if you prefer so it'd be nice to see the site follow suit. I don't mind womens football being in the game btw, welcome it actually. I just don't have an interest personally and like to save on memory usage where I can.

The same here, unfortunately. They're so foggy and not sharp at all, not to mention that silly line at the top. It's been driving me crazy, because I feel like only a few people are having this problem; if it were more widespread, maybe there was something that could be done collectively.
 

I think maybe all the images will need to be resized, but think about it, I myself have over 500k, doing it in batch would kill my computer.

 

Remember that the full game hasn't been released yet and this is just the beta, so there may be changes to the UI. Once the game is released, we'll see what happens. 🙂

When is the update expected?

This is a bug in the game and it is not fixed by resizing the images. If you uninstall the pack you will see that the white line is also present in original pictures.

any news on an update for the FM26 full release? would be nice to be able to have faces for all the players who weren't in FM24 when it's ready 🙂
