The only actual 'source' I've seen for the offer is the Daily Mail. Everywhere seems to have picked it up from there. Utd just said they rejected a bid, but going by Utd fans logic over the past few days, that could be another 'smokescreen'

Nah.

Daily Mail released the first story, but everyone else is posting it on their own steam and the BBC aren't going to make a headline story on information they 'understand' from the Daily Mail.

Same as how the Fabregas one started with Sky Sports and then exploded from there.

That guy got his twitter banned last week because so many angry United fans reported him for being wrong about Thiago.

Also the Cazorla rumours are being mentioned by a few others, if he's homesick and wants to go back to Spain I guess they make sense, but that's a huge loss for Arsenal.

It's pretty obvious the news earlier leaked but who leaked it and why did Chelsea wait all morning to deny it?

Chelsea blaming us for the leak it seems, confused and angry about the whole situation.

Mourinho's got a press conference later today, so if we have leaked some random bullshit to the press to piss off Chelsea then I imagine he's going to be livid.

This is going to get hilariously bitter very quickly.

Chelsea's statement doesn't exactly require any great detective work to see who they're blaming for that leak, too.

This would also benefit Everton, who have a 25% sell-on clause of any future transfer fee above the £27m the Toffees sold him for. So if United sell Rooney for £57m then Everton will get 25% of £30m
