Caulker heading off to Cardiff from Spurs, supposed to be over £8.5m

By jln22 | Permalink | On 31 July 2013 - 18:39 PM
Officially confirmed.

On the face of it, I can't see who benefits from this transfer. You'd have to think there's a release fee in there.

- Spuds are now struggling in the center of defence with only 3 recognised/senior players.
- Cardiff shell out another £8.5million plus the wages on a single player. QPR much?
- Their squad still doesn't look much cop for this division.
- Caulker gets guaranteed football, not that he was out of things at WHL, but at the risk of relegation.

Seems our new Spanish signing was Barca's Under-19 captain.

Bit of a coup for us...

Ex-Barca youth product is probably the most overrated "story" in football right now. It's becoming what being Brazilian was 10 years ago, an easy way for shit footballers to get more hype, more cash and a better address than their talents actually justify.

This.

Arnau Riera being a good example, bizarrely signed by Sunderland a few years back.

I remember him. Got sent off in the famous League Cup tie at Gigg after 3 minutes when we beat Sunderland 2-0.

Charlie Austin signed for QPR today. I expected him to end up in the Prem but yeah, good signing for QPR that

For anyone a fan of Doncaster, you've apparently "signed" the lad Louis from that boyband

When have I ever mentioned them? Maybe it's all a conspiracy to get teenage girls to buy more shirts with his name on it

Why?

I don't know anything about him really except that he did pretty well last season with Falcao and is a massive cunt apparently.

Daily Star have just linked us with Ronaldo, again.

He's a very good player, he's pure entertainment in derbies but he's not worth close to €25m.

The rumour is doing the rounds that Bale is going to join Madrid in a £105m deal.

I can't see this ending well, tbh.

If we sign Diego Costa,we're going to have the most abhorrent attacking trio in the Premiership - Suarez bites people,Aspas headbutts and elbows them and Costa throws boogers at them.Diego Costa also tried to bite Sergio Ramos' finger

Not to mention that as well as Suarez Diego Costa has been accussed of racially abusing people.

In all likelihood, he's got to be a Suarez replacement, surely?

Don't think so.Real look set to sign Bale and they were his only likely destination.I don't think they will spend 50+ mil on another player if they sign Bale.I also can't see us selling Suarez to Arsenal.

Then why would Liverpool sign another striker? They've got already Ispas and Alberto this summer.

When Liverpool handed out that list of banned words to their security staff recently, did that apply to the players as well as the fans?

No. The players have their own set by the PFa or something like that.

It boggles the mind how we managed to beat Spurs for the last Champions League place and supposedly have £70m or more to spend, yet they're the ones spending £50m+ on two new players whilst we haven't spent a bean.

I hope to fucking God that Arsene has a couple of aces up his sleeve.

You're not pre-emptively spending the worlds largest transfer fee, though.

Hmm, I'm not so sure. I'd like to think Spurs won't have an extra £85m to spend on top of the £50m they've already used, but I can't see Levy authorizing such big deals without being 100% sure he'll make the money back. They might already have it. Who knows.

I'd say consistency near the end of the season. Dropped points to Wigan, Liverpool (Kyle Walker) and Fulham (one of those days) cost us in the end.

"I'm not thinking about Barca without Cesc," he told reporters. "I've talked to him, I've explained my ideas. He's one of the best in the squad, but there's also a part that he has to decide.

"If it depends on me, he'll stay, and I believe he will, so I haven't thought about who I'd sign to replace him yet."
