I wish we would just sign a player and not leave everything till the last minute. We could easily have signed Jovetic, Higuain etc, if we'd just put in a decent bid. So frustrating having to wait.

We've signed Mexican defender Gabriel Rojo de la Vega Piccolo, known as "Gabri" for short, on a two-year deal from Rayo Vallecano.

Looked pretty decent as a trialist against AEL Limassol.

I imagine if Madrid have truly submitted an offer like that Levy will accept.

I'd rather have Bale for one more season.

Isn't that illegal or something? The player should only be allowed to discuss his contract with another club after he had an agreement from his current club to do so? Might be wrong but I am pretty sure that's how it works.

His agent can talk to whoever he wants, most transfers these days are done through contacting the agent first and finding out whether the player would be interested in moving.

Moyes - "I've never at any time said that we would get Cesc. We've just made offers that have been rejected."

"I couldn't tell you if there will be another bid for Cesc. We'll take stock and make a decision on what we do next."

Very much doubt Cesc would agree terms without Barca's permission.

It's strongly rumoured that he's going to announce he's staying tomorrow.

£86M is way too much for Bale. Spurs should deal at that tbh.

I can't see Bale being guaranteed a place. IMO there are better than him there for his positions

We're officially working on a deal for Soldado. Also Bale has to stay this year.

Thiago Silva signs a new deal with PSG.

Which means he'll probably join Barcelona within the next two weeks.

The Times are reporting that United are preparing a £25M bid for Modric.

If Bale joins Madrid I say we have a realistic chance of signing him, more realistic than Cesc.

Although you probably have a better chance of signing Modric, Cesc is better imo.

J.S. Park set for a loan move to his former club, PSV Eindhoven. Escaped from that QPR prison finally.

Cesc is not coming to OT. After trying so hard to get out of England, there's absolutely no reason to come back here. He may not be the first choice in midfield right now, but he's just much younger than Xavi/Iniesta and will develop to be as good as them and he probably knows that. If he stays, he'll be the main man for their midfield for years to come. It was worth a try though, Moyes had to show people he's actually doing something.

I find it hard to believe any transfer gossip on any major deal like these because there is so little quotation from official sources and what there is isn't revealing much. So its basically fermenting into a beast based on half-truths to fill the dead air - moreso than ever given there's more air to fill.

I mean, Marca is saying today that Spurs want £125M for Bale. That is stupid cash.

Why are people assuming Spurs haven't already spent most of the Bale money. Soldado, Chadli and Paulinho = roughly £50m.

Besides even if Spurs to sell Bale for £80m, or whatever, what are they going to do with it? - It's not like they can just go out and buy Modric, Fabregas and Lewandowski with it. They'll probably end up buying someone like Benteke for a inflated fee or something.

Norwich boss Chris Hughton has refused to rule out a move for Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella

Hughton did not deny an interest in the 30-year-old, instead comparing the scenario to his pursuit of Gary Hooper, who joined from Celtic last week.

"That is a story I have seen and heard. But it was exactly the same with our work with Gary," he said.

"Most were aware there was an interest. Until there was something official to say then we didn't say it."
