Not sure why Sanchez would choose Arsenal over Liverpool...

I agree that the Ozil signing was superb but it doesn't mean we're now going to be super efficient in the transfer market. We're going to face competition for Sanchez.

Word is that we're his preferred choice as he wants to live in London.

Plus we'll sign Vidal to help him settle

Don't think Alexis wants to deal with little Scouse cunts stealing hubcaps and threatening to shank them with their 'stanleys'.

Plus you know, we're in London, have Wenger. Having one of the World's best no. 10's and Aaron Ramsey helps as well tbf.

Ian Ladyman reckons LVG has told United to sell Fellaini because he's 'not a United player'.

Bit sad if true that we're giving up on a player after 1 season, but its hard to see how he can fit in to our midfield and he's not good enough to play as a number 10.

He's honestly dogshit. His best position is behind the striker and you have to adapt your playstyle around him. And no club aiming to be in the CL should play like that. Poor CM as well.

Yeah pretty much, I said when we signed him that I didn't think he was mobile enough to do the holding role in the games where we actually need a midfielder to do it and thats proved true, but its more than that. He has no concept of defensive responsibility, which might be ok, except that he offers nothing going forward because he's technically woeful.

Oh and he has a rapey face and stupid hair, which makes me hate him.

He'll go to West Ham or Hull or somewhere and score a few goals again playing as a number 10, and people like Steve McManaman will snigger that we didn't 'get the best out of him'.

Tiago Mendes will rejoin Chelsea on a 2 year deal.

Good signing and pleased to have him back at the club, even if he is 33.

I remember FIFA 98 (and maybe 99) referred to Manchester United as 'United'. "Today's match between West Ham United and United".

No idea where Alexis Sanchez will end up, I can't see it being Liverpool though for some reason. I'm guessing Arsenal.

I'm not too sure why he'd want to go to Arsenal either to be honest, though he'd definitely be a focal point there, particularly if Cazorla leaves. Just don't see it from a sporting point of view if he is aiming to win stuff.

My comment wasnt 100% serious, more to annoy you Arsenal fans, but Im hoping yours isnt. I doubt Sanchez even knows who Ramsey is..

Although I do slightly agree with Verse about the footballing reasons

Is Alexis Sanchez that good? Forgive my scepticism, and he was a world-beater at Udinese, but he hasn't done too much at Barca.

As someone who watched quite a bit of him in Serie A, given my Juve attachment, his move to Barca hasn't benefited him one ounce. He was quality at Udinese and played usually just off Di Natale, though both would kinda rotate position at times too. Moving to Barca shunned him from a more central role into a wider one and thus hasn't seen his game benefit like it really could have. The one thing I incredibly dislike since he moved to Barca is how much his attitude changed for the worse- which has stemmed from the attitude Barca seem to instil into their players.

I suspect wherever he moves to, as long as he plays centrally again, he'll excel.

Don't Barca want like 30-35 million for him as well?

Barca owe Arsenal around 15m from Cesc and Song, so I'm guessing that would be wiped off in any Sanchez deal

I don't think any club in England, except maybe Liverpool, would use him centrally.

I think his biggest problem in Barcelona was the style of football they played and the focus on Messi, not the first to suffer from that.

This is why I think a move to Liverpool would benefit him. He could be a replacement for Suarez. Just off Sturridge alongside Sterling in a 4-3-2-1.

Lots of talk that Wenger wants to convert him into an out-and-out striker like he did with Henry.

You think Sanchez has no idea who Ramsey is? Really?

I'm sure he'd be frothing at the mouth to come and play alongside Jordan Henderson though.

I doubt Sanchez knows or really cares who Ramsey is tbh, I get the impression footballers don't exactly watch much football outside of their next opponent and tend to go off of hype when talking about others. A Welsh guy who had a good season playing for England's 4th best club is hardly going to be making huge ripples in Spain.

Saying that, the same is true of Rodgers. I doubt Sanchez will have ever heard of him, whereas Wenger's reputation as one of the most respected managers in the world will definitely hold sway.

Edit: Maybe 'never heard of' is too far, but he certainly won't be of the opinion that Liverpool fans seem to be that he's some kind of semi-mythical mastermind, he probably just knows of him as 'that tubby bloke in charge of Liverpool'.

I'd say Arsenal are a more attractive proposition than Liverpool - especially if Suarez leaves.

Newcastle finished above Liverpool a few years ago ffs

Fair point, and you're right about Wenger. He's one of the most respected managers in the world and one of the key reasons why we landed Ozil.

So Fifa have confirmed/said that Barcelona are allowed to conduct a medical for Suarez.

So, a football related activity is appearing in a team photo, and thats banned, but a medical apparently isn't and is A-OK.

I doubt "playing with Ramsey" is going to be the reason he signs for you
