Playing with Ozil?

I doubt "playing with Ramsey" is going to be the reason he signs for you

I never said that though, did I?

There's some middle ground between having no idea who Ramsey is and wanting to move to Arsenal to play alongside him. You can be sure that playing with Ozil, working for Arsene Wenger and living in London are all major pulls though. We'd probably pay him more as well.

Why isn't Ramsey moving?

I was 100% sure Ramsey to Man Utd (Or Man City) was going to be the saga of the Summer.

The guy is playing with Barca, alongside Iniesta, Xavi and Messi to name a few. I doubt playing alongside even Ozil is going to have much bearing on where he goes. Youre reading too much into it. Hell go to where hell play more/pay him more. Which is likely that it would be Arsenal, but I cant see him giving a toss whether he plays along Henderson/Ramsey/whoever.

He's had one great season and by all accounts is committed to the club for the foreseeable future.

Cresswell to West Ham

I don't know if many of you have heard of him, but I know a few Ipswich fans and they all rate him very highly.

Also on this whole Sanchez will he go to Arsenal or Liverpool debate, if I were him, i'd choose Arsenal all day.

He's supposed to be very good, I know a few Town fans and they rate him exceedingly highly too I think he's their two time player of the year and was in the championship team of the year last year too.

Bit surprised he's going that cheap though.

I'd say "looks like it" but French press are reporting we had a bid accepted for Lacazette. Still not buying British though.

Liverpool have reportedly bid £20M for Lovren... Southampton really are cashing in.

Why would we buy British?

Snodgrass cost 6.5m. Yohan Cabaye and Ben Arfa put together cost 6.5m.

They've lost a lot of talent - Shaw, Lambert, Lallana, probably Lovren now, on top of losing Pochettino - and they've not signed anyone. They need to make signings to replace what they've lost, otherwise all the money they've brought in over the Summer is going to mean diddly squat.

It's the fact we have to have a minimum of British players that is the problem. Although beyond maintaining that core amount, its all about getting the best value team.

Really? I may be going from Football Manager but I thought you had to have a minimum of 8 British or homegrown players (granted Fabregas is included towards this for Chelsea)

Arsenal, Spurs and Napoli are after Morgan Schneiderlin. Another Southampton player on the move for big money?

Seems like Debuchy is well on his way to us, removed any Newcastle references from his Twitter bio and also favourited a Tweet that someone made mentioning him moving to us.

Obligatory "why would they sell/why would he move to United" question.

A few reasons I've heard: 1. He thinks its the right time to move on 2. Juventus want to sell him to reinvest money in other areas and ensure they keep Pogba

Don't know if thats true, but thats whats a few of the Italian papers that I've seen posted up in places have seemed to suggest.

Arsenal expected to sign Alexis Sanchez ‘within the next week’.

Arsenal are in advanced talks with Alexis Sanchez after reportedly agreeing a £32million fee with La Liga giants Barcelona.
The Gunners are believed to have agreed a deal to bring highly-rated forward Sanchez to the Emirates after several weeks of negotiations with Luis Enrique’s side.
After making an initial bid of £22m for the former Udinese man, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger improved the offer to around £32m – a figure that Barcelona have now accepted.
Wenger made enquiries for Sanchez almost a month before the World Cup following reports that the Chilean would be open to moving away from the Nou Camp this summer.
Sanchez was one of the standout players in his national side in the World Cup as Chile crashed out of the tournament after their defeat to Brazil on penalties.
25-year-old Sanchez is keen on making a move to London and Arsenal’s Spanish-speaking contingent of Santi Cazorla, Mikel Arteta, Nacho Monreal and Joel Campbell is expected to play a part in his final decision.

Di Marzio has said that our Vidal interest is very real, but Juventus' are very reluctant to sell.

I guess this is going to be interesting then. So far we've simply stumped up the cash for targets all summer long, you'd have to assume that if this is going to go anywhere the £50m Chelsea paid for Torres is under serious threat as the highest fee paid by a British club.

How are United going to afford all of these transfers? They haven't even improved on the shit defence yet.
