Hemingway's attempt at 15

Hi everyone, I’m quite new here. I used to play FM quite a lot until I entered college and haven’t played for quite a few years now. Since I managed to find some free time I decided to try FM 15 even though the real season is over. Because of that I went on vacation for a year and I am starting in the June of 2015. I will choose a club that finished below expectations in 14/15 campaign and try to bring them back on the right way. I’ll be playing as Dragoslav Stepanovic, former Bayer Leverkusen, Athletic Bilbao and FK Vojvodina manager. Here is how the 14/15 campaign ended.

EPL: 14/15 campaign in England didn’t go the way it was expected. It was Liverpool who finally managed to grab the EPL title. They finished 5 points above the runner-up Manchester City. Arsenal has finished in the 5th position and they won’t be playing in the Champions League next season, instead they will compete in Europa League. It would be interesting taking over from Wenger and try to get back in to the top 4 as well as win Europa League. On the other side of the table, it was Swansea City that disappointed their fans and finished very last in the league. Taking over in Championship and getting them back into the Premier League would be another interesting challenge. They have as well played in the FA cup finals, and lost to Manchester City. But since City plays Champions League, Swansea goes to Europa League. Tottenham has won Europa League, so they will be playing in Champions League next season as well.

Possible clubs: Arsenal, Swansea City

Sky Bet Championship: The only second tier I would consider playing is, of course, Championship. Norwich City, Ipswich Town and Fulham have managed to get promoted while the clubs like Wigan and Cardiff remained in the Championship. Still, I wouldn’t choose any of them. The only club in this league I would consider is Wolverhampton Wanderers who disappointed again and dropped back into the League 1. Even though that would mean rotting one season in the third tier, I would still find getting them back to Premier League very interesting.

Possible club: Wolverhampton Wanderers

Liga BBVA: In Spain, everything went as expected, Barcelona has won the league, Real Madrid finished second, while Atletico Madrid and Villareal finished in the places for the Champions League as well. The only disappointment was Seviila, who finished only in 13th position. Everything else went as expected, therefore, Sevilla is the only club from Spain I am going to consider.

Possible club: Sevilla

Ligue 1: I think this league was ruined by PSG and Monaco and their spending. Before, I used to enjoy playing in France but not so much anymore. Still, it would be interesting taking over at Marseille who finished only 16th. I would first have to rebuild the team and challenge the first 5, and only than try to compete against to big spenders and try to win the league. Surprisingly though, Olympique Lyon managed to get in front of PSG and claim the title. Toulouse was a strong contender as well, having finished with the same amount of points as PSG.

Possible club: Olympique Marseille

Bundesliga: Of course, Bayern claimed the title in Germany, while Borussia Dortmund finished second. Top of the table finished the way it was expected, the bottom quite as well. Werder Bremen and Hamburg could have done a lot better and they are the clubs from Germany I am going to consider.

Possible clubs: Werder Bremen, Hamburg

Serie A: Probably the biggest surprise came from Italy, where Sampdoria managed to get a place in Champions League, while Sassuolo got the place in Europa League. That left the big clubs such as Inter Milan and Lazio far away from the places that lead to European competitions. Napoli has disappointed as well, having finished only 8th and missed out on Europe as well. Juventus were, of course, crowned champions.

Possible clubs: Inter Milan, Napoli, Lazio

Champions League: It was all Spanish finals, Real Madrid VS Barcelona. Even though Barcelona has won the league, Madrid has managed to snap up Champions League. Comfortable 3-1 victory on Olympiastadium in the final game. Both clubs have won against English clubs in semi-finals. Manchester City and Liverpool were defeated by these two clubs.
