Is there anyone other than me that would like to deal with the huge amount of pending sources? While doing face cutting, it seems like no matter how many faces I cut, the number of pages of requests seems to be stuck on 126 to 127 after one night sleep. Or is the problem of lacking facecutters becoming more severe?

I understand your frustration, at times it feels like trying to empty a bathtub full of water with a teaspoon while the tap is dripping.

However, I do not agree that there is a lack of cutters. If you check the downloads page, you will see that update packs are released more frequently and contain substantially more cuts than in previous years. I used to release update packs every month or so or whenever we reached 3k+ cuts, whichever came the sooner. Nowadays, the community produces that amount of cuts on average every 10 days. By way of example, since the last update pack released on 12 January, I have already collected 3,300 cuts in just 11 days. If you check that page, pre-2019 that would have been an amount collected in an above-average month.

So my conclusion is that it's not a question of lacking cutters, but rather that there are more requesters than cutters, which has been the case ever since I started getting involved in the community in 2009, even though I believe it's never been easier to produce quality cuts with less effort than nowadays.

There is nobody more than me who would like the pending individual and teampack/mixpack requests to be whittled down. But experience has taught me that it is as likely as expecting politicians to be honest and footballers to be bastions of morality. If you focus on the amount of images left, you'll quickly grow disheartened. But if you focus on the amount of images completed, then perhaps it will give you a more positive outlook 🙂

If I had more free time, I would certainly help as much as possible. As it stands, with the limited time I do have free, the cutting and graphics I do are usually for my own fun. That being said, if I do ever get the itch to cut some faces, I'll see what I can do to help out and poke my head (he he) in there.
