Help I Cant start

I've just purchased FM24, set up as I've bee doing for over 10 years, I get to the ‘play a game’ its frozen and cannot go any further. I have the US league as the only default even that I cant play. I tried to contact Steam but no one to speak with, The only option I had is refund so I did that hoping to purchase again with a new game but it took me back to the same frozen screen. Please help!
