having the yellow anaesthetic eyedrops shit.

...ergh.
The drops weren't that bad. Your eyes feel so weird for the rest of the evening but I don't know if you've ever had to have someone check the pressure of your eyes? What they have to do is basically poke your eyeball for about 10 seconds each obviously without blinking or moving your head at all. You can't feel it properly because of the anaesthetic but you know it's there and someone's still been poking you in the eye and you still feel like this really weir aching sensation and all your brain wants to do is blink but if you do they have to start over.
I'm still convinced I didn't actually need that done though. They had this student doctor doing it while the actual doctor sat in the next room watching. The other doctor comes in and like dresses the guy down over what he did right and wrong etc. Then talks to me about some tests I'd already had done without really mentioning what that guy just did. This was after waiting for 2 hours in a hospital naturally.

Yeah you have to have that to test for glaucoma, either the laser one, where they numb your eyeball with drops and touch it lightly with a laser or the far more fun one where they blast a shot of air into your eye, that one's a bastard. And the first two times I went and had my eyes seen to for glaucoma I didn't even realise I had yellow around my eye or that it was yellow. I must've walked around like a Simpson had spunked in my eye (naturally all Simpson's ejaculate is the same colour as their skin).

I was worried because my auntie had her retina detached a couple of years back and I worried that it might be hereditary or some shit. Don't want to fuck about with my eyes.

Got a haircut , and I'm sickened now. I love my hair short, so I said to him the usual tight 0 on the side but this time to cut the top shorter (grows back to fast) so he used a blade this time instead of the scissors. Course I forgot to tell him to leave the fringe alone, but he went over it with the blade and now I've no fringe and my haircut looks awful Stupid stupid mistake and one I will never repeat.

Yeah. The doctor said I'm too young to have to worry about retinal detachment.

It's probably just the fact you've been under the weather TS....

The best thing is you've gone and had it checked out by a professional. If they're not worried then you probably have nothing to worry about, unless of course they're all completely inept and shouldn't be practicing as doctors!!

I have that every five months. It's not terribly bad I guess.. something I'll have to get used to. The first time they ever test for glaucoma is a proper bitch, but now I know I've got it, I can just prepare for it.

Yeah, that's what I thought. He had a thorough look and was confident there was nothing wrong with my actual eye, so I'm guessing/ hoping the flashes have been brought on by external factors - which in this case would be the cold I'm just getting over. I still feel quite blocked up and my sinuses aren't great so I'm presuming that's still having an effect.

Still, it makes you appreciate your eyesight when you start having problems with it.

Just stay away from google, it's the worse thing ever invented when it comes to medical conditions. Like when I had pain in my foot after I got out of the cast following my achilles tendon operation I didn't know what was up, thought I'd got broken bones in my foot and all that because it was so bad... Turned out to be osteopenia, so basically the bones had become weaker because no weight had been on that leg for 10-15 weeks. Google basically made it out to be a really bad thing, my surgeon on the other hand was like as soon as you start running/jogging/playing sport it will go away and it did pretty much.

I'm tempted to post this on my 'holier than thou' auntie and uncle's facebook walls, I think it may cause some family troubles though.

There are a lot of vulnerable, psychologically damaged people out there that need help, and I don't think these internet trolls have done anything but harm with this stunt.

It's too warm in Sydney.

Been 43C all day.

It's now 40C and it's 9pm. I've just had to shut my bedroom window to keep the heat out.

All it's going to help you do is die of dehydration!!

You don't need any help going to Thailand, you just pay for sex over there anyway.
