Their plan is to come down and demand the removal of the tricolour from the Dáil because their flag was so cruelly taken from them, even though the flag only flies above the Dáil when it's in session. They just want a riot

True. Normally I'd agree, but on this occaision... I don't know. I can't think of any good reason to suddenly decide not to fly the Union flag anymore. There is no way they didn't know exactly how people would react but they did it anyway. Why? Blaming the loyalists in this seens like blaming a dog for biting someone when the owner has trained it to do that.
Not that I'm defending them really. I'm just saying, why provoke them like that?

Or more realistically, it was something that was never going to happen in the first place.

A CONTROVERSIAL protest by loyalists planned to take place in Dublin on Saturday has been postponed.

Victims Campaigner Willie Frazer said the protest would go ahead at a future date, after a meeting with security forces in the Irish Republic.

“I am pleased to inform you all that we are now arranging a full meeting with the Garda Siochana in Dublin for the near future,” he said.

“After very constructive communication’s with the Garda Siochana I can confirm that we will now be travelling down on a date in the near future to discuss our many concerns around IRA collusion and many other issue’s.

“I will keep you all informed as to when this meeting will now take place. This will be a very welcome day when we as concerned Ulster citizens and victims of the IRA will be given the opportunity to have our concerns addressed in the atmosphere of a formal meeting.

“I also wish to go on record as welcoming the recognition of the Garda Siochana as to our right to peaceful protest in Dublin and the accommodating measures they were putting in place for us the protesters and concerned citizens of Ulster,” said Mr Frazer who has also been involved with the newly formed Ulster People’s Forum over the ongoing flags protests.
