Returning to the top flight with a bang.

August saw our return to the top flight of Scottish football after a three year absence and it started promisingly well despite the influx of new talent brought in this summer. Our best result to date has to be the single goal win away to Aberdeen when Marcello Trotta scored in stoppage time but we did unfortunately lose the first Old Firm clash of the season three two at Ibrox.


...but we're currently leading the pack after six games as we have scored seventeen times already but conceded seven and our one point ahead of rivals Celtic despite that recent three two defeat. Raith Rovers are currently propping up the league table, win-less after six games.


Lewis MacLeod has been named Clydesdale Bank Young Player of the Month for August after demonstrating what a capable player he truly is with some promising performances while team mate Barrie McKay who came in second place but he could've been third it was tight with a fella from St. Mirren.


Despite that defeat to Celtic I've been named August's Manager of the Month after guiding the side to four league victories from five games as we sit top of the table but it's early days so far and I'm sure the players understand that, we need to keep going if we're to have a successful campaign back in the Scottish Premiership.

KEZ and Dan, please don't be too harsh because the result isn't as bad as it could have been since we were 3-0 down at half time before managing to pull the game back - we were the better side but couldn't find an equaliser, 'twas frustrating.

Scoring sixteen goals in just four games.

It was good to see the side bounced back from the Celtic defeat, recording a thumping six one win away to Motherwell while we also advanced in the League Cup after another thumping victory, this time beating Dundee United five nil away from home while we also won away to St. Mirren and easily at home to Inverness with Marcello Trotta bagging two.


My side remain top of the table and have a four point gap over current champions and fierce rivals Celtic as we have won eight of our opening nine games and scored a sensational twenty eight times in the process, shipping nine. Raith, our next opponents, remain bottom and win-less which means they're sure to beat us.


It was a clean sweep in the Player of the Month award as Dedryck Boyata won the award after being in outstanding form at the back, making three "dazzling" performances while duo Sammy Ameobi and Lee Wallace came second and third respectively in the awards.


Nicky Law's thirty three yard free kick vs. Motherwell in the six one win won the Goal of the Month award for September.


Once again I have been named Manager of the Month after picking up three league wins from as many games including the six one win at Fir Park against a Motherwell side who assisted with two own goals in the game as we didn't even need our striker to score in the game.

This looks to be the easiest career I've ever seen!

Three more league wins but out of the League Cup.

Our chances of winning the League Cup evaporated when Motherwell dumped us out of the League Cup, two one at Ibrox but we did manage to defeat Dundee United five one at home when Sammy Ameobi netting twice in the second half while we also recorded victories over bottom side Raith Rovers and Partick Thistle when SAMEOBI struck a late winner at Firhill.


We are three points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership and have a game in hand too over rivals Celtic.


Young Player of the Month award for October went to midfielder Lewis MacLeod who enjoyed his role as an advanced playmaker this month, making three appearances and playing extremely well and at the age of only twenty one I expect him to become much better and could easily be a regular at club and international level - Barrie McKay came second.


Yet again I have been named Manager of the Month after picking up three league wins from three games as we beat bottom side Raith at home, Partick Thistle at Firhill and hammered Dundee United five one in our final league game this month as we remain the top dog in the Scottish Premiership.

Suffering a second Premiership defeat.

The start of November would see us suffer a second Scottish Premiership defeat as we went down two one at Easter Road but did bounce back with a thumping four nil win over Kilmarnock that didn't even see them have a single effort on goal and then we defeated Ross County and then Wick in the Scottish Cup to conclude the month.


Despite suffering our second defeat of the campaign we remain top of the tab;e and three points ahead of fierce rivals Celtic due to ourselves yet to draw a game this campaign while they've drew three.


Pleased to inform my followers that summer signing Dedryck Boyata was named the Scottish Premiership Player of the Month for November after being in outstanding form over the course of the month and looks to be a bargain signing after he only cost us one hundred and forty thousand from Nottingham Forest.


The Young Player of the Month award for November went to Lewis MacLeod who once again has been top class this month in this three appearances while his team mate Barrie McKay came in at third place much to his "bitter disappointment" as he hasn't been too shabby.

Shame about a second league defeat but fantastic to still be leading the way chap!

To be fair Dan, league defeats had to be expected this season as we're now in the top flight but at least we're still doing reasonably well...could do better though.

As twenty fifteen came to a close we suffered our third Scottish Premiership defeat and second against fierce rivals Celtic as they won four one at Parkhead, our consolation goal coming from Sammy Ameobi who has been a star since signing, better than I expected. We bounced back from that defeat by defeating Inverness and St. Mirren two nil to make it four wins from five this month.


So as we enter the New Year we find ourselves top of the Scottish Premiership table but only two points ahead of second place Celtic who are the reigning champions and have been for a few seasons now since our demotion. At the bottom, Raith are looking doomed with still the one win.


December's Goal of the Month award went to Nicky Law after his thirty one yard free kick against Inverness on Boxing Day won the award while another Rangers player, Sammy Ameobi came third after his goal in the four one win over Motherwell at Fir Park.

Two points clear heading into the new year! But its fantastic to see you still top! Shame Celtic have that hold on you though!

And that's good Dan but if I'm honest, I'd rather have a more healthly lead instead of a couple of points.

Indeed it is tight K3VO, too tight for my liking. Aye, I'd been a lovely start to life back in the top flight but I'm sure most people expected it.

Starting twenty sixteen unbeaten.

The start of the New Year saw us remain undefeated as we won four and drew one of our five games, including an epic but frustrating four all draw away to Dundee United in which we had a three one lead at one stage while we also pinched a one nil win (but deseerved) away to Kilmarnock as Barrie McKay struck with two minutes remaining.


...and now the gap is starting to open up as we are now seven points clear of second placed Celtic but third in the table Hibernian are trailing behind. Raith, bottom of the table, won a second league game of the season but still look doomed bar a miracle.


Twenty one year old Barrie McKay was named Scottish Premiership's Player of the Month for December after some excellent form saw him score three times in five league games.


For the first time in a few months I've been named Manager of the Month after an excellent start to twenty sixteen saw me win four and draw one of our five Scottish Premiership games while former Gers boss Ally McCoist came in at second place.

Finally defeating our fierce rivals for the first time this season.

February saw us defeat Celtic for the first time this season after a three one win at Ibrox courtesy of goals from Dedryck Boyata, Marcello Trotta and Fraser Aird while we also managed to defeat Aberdeen too, two nil away from home and with ten men after Lee Wallace was sent off with the game scoreless.


European football awaits us next season after an unbeaten month secured our place (for the time being I hope) in next seasons Europa League as we are sitting ten points ahead of Celtic with just nine league games remaining - it's surely our title now to throw away?


Dedryck Boyata has been named the Player of the Month after producing solid performances over the course of the month and helping himself to two goals, including one against Celtic. Xandro Schenk came in just behind Boyata in second place.


It was a clean sweep in the Young Player of the Month award as winger Barrie McKay won the award after producing a series of decent performances - midfielder Lewis MacLeod came in second while his team mate Fraser Aird came in at third place.


I've been named Scottish Premiership Manager of the Month after guiding the side to all four league victories this month in which it saw us defeat Aberdeen away from home and Celtic at Ibrox. We also defeated Ross County and Motherwell too as we also managed to secure a European place for next season.

Brilliant month, even better to have the win over Celtic too!

It'll take an almighty fuck up from here to see you finish second in the league.

Was delighted to finally beat Celtic this season Dan even though we probably didn't deserve to get maximum points but I don't care.

That's true K3VO and I'd actually resign if we f*ck up the league title but we are looking good for a third consecutive league title (League One, Championship and Premiership) but we've been lucky.

One slip up but closing in on Scottish Premiership title.

Our unbeaten run continued in March as we closed in on the Scottish Premiership title as we only slipped up once this month, a one one draw away to St. Mirren despite being the better side but we did bounce back with a two nil win at relegation threatened Raith.


We are thirteen points clear at the summit with just six games remaining - even we can't mess up the league challenge, correct? It's been a remarkable season on our return to the top flight but the good thing is, still room for improvement. Raith, although not confirmed, are mathematically relegated.


Dedryck Boyata won the PotM accolade after another excellent month that saw him find the net twice in three games and that's quite good for a central defender, our other defender, Xandro Schenk came third.


The Young Player of the Month award went to Lewis MacLeod after the midfielder produced several good performances over he course of the month and fully deserved the award in my biased opinion, team mate Fraser Aird came third in the YPotM award.

No way Celtic will catch you now bud so congratulations on three in a row!!!

K3VO and Dan, you seem correct that the league title will be won this season but believe it or not, it's been difficult enough. It's almost one down though and nine more to go...

An unbeaten month as Scottish Premiership title is secured.

The penultimate month of the campaign was one to celebrate as a single goal victory over Hibernian at Ibrox wrapped up the Scottish Premiership title while we also excellently defeated Aberdeen and held Celtic to a one all draw with Marcello Trotta opening the scoring but he may still be sold in the summer, if the offer is good enough.




So champions in our first season since the clubs return to the Scottish Premiership and it's been amazing as we have won thirty of our first thirty six games, drawing three and losing three so far with Celtic thirteen points behind. As expected, Raith Rovers have been relegated to the Championship.


Xandro Schenk has been named Player of the Month for April after finding the net twice this month and that's not bad for a central defender, former Ger Kyle Bartley (now at Celtic) came third.


I've proudly been named Manager of the Month for April after guiding my side to three victories in four games - we defeated Partick, Hibernian and Aberdeen while we drew against rivals Celtic.

Wrapping up the season with a Scottish Cup reattainment.

The first season back in the top flight ended with a disappointing three all draw against Ross County but we defeated Kilmarnock two nil at Rugby Park while the side also retained the Scottish Cup, beating Aberdeen three one at Hampden Park as Fraser Aird, Sammy Ameobi and Jamie Paterson were on target against the Dons.


We ended the campaign with a points total of ninety seven points and one hundred and one goals scored - thirty six conceded as we ended the season with a twenty game unbeaten run in the league and now I'm not sure how we can do better in the league than this season just over.

Awards night.

Barrie McKay has been named PFA Players' Player of the Year after the twenty one year old helped himself with fourteen goals in thirty six appearances as we won the Scottish Premiership.


Star midfielder Lewis MacLeod won the PFA Young Player of the Year after MacLeod, 21, set up seventeen goals in thirty eight games as he produced a series of high-class performances, scoring just the twice though.


Attacking midfielder Fraser Aird was named Young Player of the Season after putting in a series of creative performances, setting up eight goals in twenty five appearances and helping himself to eight Scottish Premiership goals en route to a league title winners medal.


I've been named both the writers' and Scottish Premiership Manager of the Year after I guided the Teddy Bears to top flight success on our return.


Six players have been named in the Scottish Premiership Team of the Year - defenders Dedryck Boyata and Lee Wallace, midfielders Barrie McKay, Lewis MacLeod and Sammy Ameobi along with striker Marcello Trotta who has departed the club this summer.

I'm just pleased their has been no pressure put on us this season K3VO as far as the Champions League goes as we're only expected to reach the play-off stages and I'd like to think we could at least achieve that.

Cheers George, yeah Ross County did quite well the season just past but I was also surprised at how bad Dundee United did, finishing in the bottom half.

Season 2016/17: Pre season news.

I'm pleased that after last seasons title success the board haven't put the pressure on us as they only expect us to challenge for the title and I'd like to think, with the correct changes, we could perhaps win the title again and I've gone for winner for the second season running and have been backed with a £11.75m transfer budget.


Just five games have been announced for this pre season program. We will welcome Portuguese sides Benfica and Braga along with Austrian's Salzburg to Ibrox while we'd be on the road to Arbroath and English side Yeovil Town, it's definitely a tough enough pre season program, which is good.

Some good budgets there! Don't beat little odl Yeovil too badly please!
