But that's maybe because we've got an excellent squad Dan chum? It's to be expected.

Cheers George, I was tempted to step down as Brazil manager after the Copa America but decided to stay on for the World Cup qualifying campaign. Just two league titles remain and then, well, who knows what is next as I haven't thought about it.

October saw us play three league games as we yet again won them all to maintain our long unbeaten league run. The month started with a four one home win over Partick Thistle before picking up a three one away to St. Mirren and then Hibernian were defeated three one at Ibrox thanks to three second half goals.

Two Champions League group games were played this month and we won them both, beating Lyon three one in Glasgow and then winning four one in Greece against PAOK. We progressed in the League Cup, beating Hibernian two nil at Easter Road, Hervin Ongenda firing home twice in Edinburgh.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/p0KlIGfxXKSMxW8nK3CTwB1fF2NUFwhMqWHQUI1N.jpg

The season has started with eleven straight league victories as we've already opened up eight point gap ahead of second placed Celtic while we've added ten more goals to our "for" column. Livingston remain bottom and win-less and are already in trouble.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/nbrGoZjX7BK6ckcKWun6GRQeohCMC85WMMTQUSRD.jpg

The winner of October's Player of the Month award is Barrie McKay as the twenty eight year old has been in outstanding form and produced some dazzling performances over the course of the month.

In this double header of World Cup qualification games, Chile were defeated four nil in Maceio and despite Fabricio giving us a first minute lead we had to wait until the second half to add three more goals when Neymar, Fabricio's second of the game and Edson also scored.

Four days later we made the trip to Venezula and won three nil when Roni, Neymar and Tiago scored in an easy and straight forward victory.

Three Scottish Premiership games were played in November and once again we managed to win all three as the month began with a three one home success over Dundee United before Ryan Gauld scored the only goal in a single goal success at Aberdeen and then we hammered basement boys Livingston four one at the Energy Assets Arena.

Two Champions League group games were played this month and we won them both as Greek side PAOK were powered aside at Ibrox, losing three nil thanks to a Hervin Ongenda treble and then Turkish side Besiktas were also defeated two one, again at Ibrox.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/wmU2mhhdtNk42ikziaGSLkoiE4eY2tkf4aThFHn9.jpg

We have now won every one of our opening fourteen games, much to my delight and have opened a ten point gap over our fierce rivals and second placed Celtic. At the foot of the table, Livingston are still win-less, eleven points adrift and have played fifteen games.

As per the norm, I have been named November's Manager of the Month after guiding the Gers to three league victories in three games this month against Dundee United, Aberdeen and bottom club Livingston.

Four league matches were played this month, all within the final ten days of twenty twenty three because of our participation in the Club World Cup. The side did manage to win them all to maintain our one hundred percent start as Ross County, Hearts and Motherwell were all defeated at Ibrox while we won three two away to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The final month of the calendar year did start though with a four one win at home to Forfar in the Scottish Cup before winning two one in France against Lyon as Hervin Ongenda and a Fraser Aird penalty came in the second half and I also guided the club to Club World Cup success (for the second time under my reign) as Pachuca were beat on penalties following a nil all draw and then Brazilian's Fluminense were beat three two in the final.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/0tIfKZx6wdYqTAmowAXE32PO0MNnrYcouzJOiovF.jpg

So what a first half of the season it has been, we have won our opening eighteen league games, scoring sixty two times in the process as we have a thirteen point gap at the summit and things are looking good for a ninth straight league title. As you can see at the bottom, Livingston won their first match(es) of the campaign but still looked doomed.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/78BNxCp5tbuUdjSvDMVuDajJl4mFo7PIFNLXMnZL.jpg

Seven games were played in the opening month of twenty twenty four, all in the league as our one hundred percent record evaporated. The side managed to win away to Partick 4-0 before beating Celtic 3-1, St. Mirren 4-1, Aberdeen 4-0 and bottom club Livingston 8-0 all at Ibrox while we suffered a defeat away to Celtic and slipped at Hibernian.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/yrgttx2piHTdb2MycXEYH8MXnRJs3M6D2YDUvN2O.jpg

Despite those two slipups in January, we are still sitting seventeen points clear of fierce rivals Celtic who are (as per usual) in second place. Livingston are as good as relegated at the foot of the table as they're fifteen (or so) points adrift.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/vvlsZyYLgeCf5h3F810hKsVpoXpfloZMgYGVjMvS.jpg

After scoring an incredible thirteen goals in only seven games, Hervin Ongenda has been named January's Player of the Month in a month dominated by Rangers players as team mates Miroslav Zoranovic came second and Ryan Gauld third.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/7evXMLOu46qGDAWlqPnsuXOyMVPGVUxNKtklppFS.jpg

Full back Elias Arias has been named Young Player of the Month after producing consistent performances over the course of the month and his team mate, and young goalkeeper, Ivica Zajec came second.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/IByOsPDjAnXDLnPkZP6ImqYmn1V89i1X7e4fwln1.jpg

And finally, I've been named Manager of the Month once again after guiding the side five league victories from seven games, dropping points both away from home against Celtic and Hibernian but it was still an excellent month as the gap opened up at the top of the table and another league title, the ninth on the trot, is looking good.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/lcvfF2H0dUflAZfc54rPFZeEbTXUJB9a7tMHHvmz.jpg

February was once again a successful month as we won every game over the course of four competitions. Three of those games were in the Scottish Premiership as we picked up nine points following a one nil win away to Dundee United, a five one win at Ross County and the month concluded with a five goals to nil win at home to fierce rivals Celtic.

Rangers will be in the League Cup final (once again) after winning two nil against Dundee United while St. Johnstone were easily dispatched in the Scottish Cup and in the Champions League first knockout round, first leg, we picked up a completely undeserved three one win away to Dutch side Vitesse - Ryan Gauld, Hervin Ongenda and Luis Gatica striking in the second half.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/tRGxoFo0lSibnppDGJ348z9oWk1oFziAAp1lle8Q.jpg

Because of our excellent league form once again, we have become the first team to qualify for next seasons Champions League (in what I hope will be 10IAR) as we've already secured a top two finish and almost scored one hundred goals. Celtic are sitting seventeen points behind but should also secure a top two finish while at the bottom, Livingston still haven't been relegated despite being twenty two points from safety.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/FOvMfoEAyvoGZ5BccDIyPQJzdGRmAnfczemqVufN.jpg

For the second month running, Hervin Ongenda has scooped the Player of the Month award as the twenty eight year old has been in scintillating form as he found the net four times in three appearances while second and third place went to Rangers' defenders Juan Martin Marinelli and Elias Arias.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Z31zqISZ94cgSuLMWI3QZJVkx0yRdWvlb8bUiWyT.jpg

Just like the PotM award, the Young Player of the Month award was dominated by Rangers players as left back Elias Arias has been named Young Player of the Month after continuing to be in inspiring form for the club, producing some quality performances over the course of the month and his team mates Calum MacLean and Ivica Zajec came second and third.

March saw us slip to a second league defeat as we crashed to an unacceptable four one defeat away to Motherwell but I did manage to guide the side to victories in the other three games as both Inverness and Hearts were defeated two nil and then Partick Thistle were hammered four nil at Ibrox.

The side also advanced in both the Scottish Cup and Champions League - Motherwell were defeated three one at Fir Park thanks to three second half goals while we also won three one in the second leg against Vitesse (six two aggregate win?) as Ryan Gauld, Barrie McKay and Hervin Ongenda scored. The League Cup was won as well after a single goal win over Celtic.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/PSz2eyBd1ZLlNVeo4qiQ6y8xKosaDZztDQ1pZHjh.jpg

Twenty points clear of second placed Celtic..the league has almost been won as if Celtic fail to win their game in hand, vs. Dundee United then we'll be champions of Scotland for a ninth consecutive season. Livingston, as expected, have been relegated in what has been a dismal season for them as they've only won twice in the league so far.

Yeah he's been an outstanding signing and the best £400k I've spent but I've had him before in another career (when I ended up at West Brom) and was outstanding then, if he played in a "top nation" then I guarantee his value would be higher. That's fine about Tariq, it would have been nice to see how he's done.

Just the one international friendly was played at the end of March and it saw us suffer a three two defeat in Berlin. Timo Werner and Izet Sabanovic both found the net to give the Germans a two goal half time league but Neymar halved the score on sixty nine minutes, Germany made it three one two minutes later through Julian Draxler but we scored the final goal of the game on eighty three minutes through Elder.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/EUm4Axlna88ef9dSkRlpSHuNkPwQLNUQJCm7Vvcx.jpg

Three league games were played in the penultimate month of the season as we managed to pick up seven points from a possible nine. We managed to defeat St. Mirren two one in Paisley and then Hearts three one at Ibrox while we could only manage a two all draw away to Dundee United.

We've managed to progress in the Champions League thanks to an away goals victory against English Premier League side Chelsea (1-1 at Ibrox and 2-2 at Terry Arena), Rangers also advanced in the Scottish Cup after a two nil win over Hearts at Hampden Park but we're all but out of the Champions League after a 4-0 semi final first leg defeat away to Barcelona.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/FAepFn2FiUf8HIc6JUp9ejEZwXQToMYUEuIsPQNe.jpg

So we're champions once again and again with ease as we're a staggering twenty five points clear of the second placed club with only three league games remaining. The relegation/promotion play-off spot will be between Partick Thistle and St. Mirren and will probably go down to the final day.

http://i.imgur.com/aqyMm4D.jpg

After guiding the side to two wins from three games, I've been named Manager of the Month for April as we defeated both St. Mirren and Hearts while drawing away to Dundee United.

The final three league games were played in the final month of another successful campaign and once again we lost away to bitter rivals Celtic but we did end the league campaign with two victories as we seen off Hibernian five nil at Ibrox as Hervin Ongenda hit four goals and a four two away win at Ross County.

Our run in the Champions League came to an end despite winning the second leg against Barcelona four three (crashing out seven four on aggregate) as we struck four second half goals through Stephen Bell, Luis Gatica, Hervin Ongenda and Miroslav Zoranovic - the problem was, we gave Barca a three nil lead on the night. Goals from Jairo Riedewald and Hervin Ongenda won us the Scottish Cup vs. Celtic.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/uPVILwbodWgcwDbw7rIHZ8XCfgMlhaqpkqSCDITa.jpg

So another season has been completed as we've won the league at a canter and Celtic will join us again in the Champions League while Hibernian, Ross County, Hearts and Dundee United will be playing in next seasons Europa League. Livingston, as you already know have been relegated and St. Mirren are in the relegation/promotion play-off.

The minimum expectation this summer is that we win the league title once again (and in return, make it 10IAR) and I've been backed with a transfer budget of just over forty and a half million pound and also quite a big wage budget too but that's more down to me being tight and hardly spending much money as I haven't needed too.

Will I choose to splash the cash this summer?

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/f7JkeLbCh11J1v039dUQZdOE5juKodtfXEZ5IOmQ.jpg

Six pre season friendly games have been organised this summer and they're all away from home. Things will start against Queretaro before heading to France for a three game tour against Le Havre Athletic Club, Toulouse and Tours before heading to America to face Chicago Fire and then the program ends in Italy against Cagliari.

Due to the twelve day break between the Tours and Chicago Fire game, I may decide to organise a few more pre season games although that hasn't been decided yet...WATCH THIS SPACE.

Part of me doesn't want to resign Dan as I've got some exciting youngsters and would love to see how they develop while I'm in charge but as soon as ten in a row is won then the only thing I need is a new stadium and that's it. You want to see me fail this season just for laughs? You're so mean!

Two World Cup qualifiers were played this month as we travelled to Ecuador and hosted Uruguay. Our first game was away to the Ecuadorian's as we eased to a three nil victory as goals from Fabricio and Gabriel Barbosa put us two goals up at half time and then Doria added a third goal early in the second period.

A few weeks later we hosted Uruguay and secured a two nil win thanks to two first half goals within the space of six minutes as Gabriel Barbosa opened the scoring and Oscar scored his first goal for the national team since returning to the fold.

Season 2024/25: Pre season round-up

There was five new faces arriving at Ibrox as once again we haven't spent a penny of our transfer budget - right winger Ramadhani Amri came from PSV Eindhoven, Jimmy Barker is a striker who arrived from Arsenal, Ruben is an "experienced" twenty eight year old who comes from Spanish side Villarreal, Daniel Vaz is a young left back who has swapped Switzerland for Glasgow and Marian Luptak is a goalkeeper who joins from Tottenham.

Six players ended up leaving the club as Ryan Hardie was the first out the door (didn't want to lose him as he was a home grown player) as he headed to Cardiff while Paul Ramsay and Ian Mitchell left on loans. Experienced shot stopper Jack Butland went to Watford, Norbert Zakrzewski cost Guangzhou £7m whil Toufik Ouadah headed to sunny Valencia for £11.5m - the last two players barely/didn't play so we got excellent money for the duo.

It was a long but successful pre season program as we managed to win every one of our nine friendlies that were all played away from home, the most exciting thing was the amount of goals we managed to score, even if we didn't play "amazing" opposition but sure pre season is all about three things...

...

1) Confidence.
2) Fitness.
3 Getting the new signings to gel.

Nothing else.

It's been a sensational start to the league campaign as we've banged in the goals in the opening six games. The campaign started with a five two away win at Hibernian before defeating Aberdeen five nil at Ibrox. We defeated Dunfermline Athletic six three and Ross County five nil both away from home while Partick were disposed off three nil and the final league game of the month saw us destroy Celtic four one at Ibrox, Hervin Ongenda firing home a hat trick.

Despite an excellent start to the campaign and winning our opening six league games, we're not clear as Hearts have equalled our sensational start but we are top because we've a better goal difference, we head to Tynecastle after the international break. Inverness have had a poor start to the season and are win-less after six games.

Experienced winger Barrie McKay has been named Player of the Month for August after starting the campaign in a rich vein of form, helping himself to six goals in as many games and I'd be surprised if he hasn't assisted any goals either. Hervin Ongenda came in at second place but he could have easily won it himself.

Summer signing Daniel Vaz has been named Young Player of the Month in his first competitive month of football as a Rangers player, the twenty year old has been a consistent figure in the first team.

After guiding the side to six wins from as many games in the month of August, I've been named Manager of the Month but it could have easily went to Hearts' gaffer Nathan McNally as they've also made a sensational start to the season, the two great results in the opening month would be the five nil win over Aberdeen and the four one win over Celtic, both at Ibrox.

Two more World Cup qualifiers were played this month and we won them both to maintain our place at top. First we had to come from behind to pick up three points in Peru - Alex Succar opened the scoring for the Peruivan's but goals from Choquito from the spot on Oscar stole us the victory.

Four days later we eased to victory at home to Bolivia in a match that we dominated from start to finish and would have liked more than three goals - Marquinhos, Roni and Eduardo were on target in Salvador.

So with eight games gone in the group (ten left?) we find ourselves sitting top of the group, four points clear of Argentina but it's been a tough qualifying group to Venezuela who are rock bottom with one point.

Three league games were played this month as we managed to pick up nine points from a possible nine. September started with an emphatic four nil away win to previously unbeaten Hearts before we also won our next league game, also away from home, against Dundee United five two and the month ended with a three one home win over St. Mirren.

Our Champions League group stage kicked off with a disappointing single goal defeat at home to Portuguese side Porto but the side did progress in the League Cup, beating Ayr United three one.

So we've now won our opening nine league games as we look to embark on ten consecutive Scottish Premiership crowns and we're six points clear of second placed Hearts while fierce rivals Celtic are struggling down in sixth place (with a game in hand) and I'm loving it.

And I have been named Manager of the Month for the second consecutive month.
