The league has become too easy Johno that I've been tempted to change my squad in the summer but even then I'd probably dominate. We played well against Manchester United iirc and could have beat them.

October saw us play four Scottish Premiership games as we slipped up for the first time in the league, drawing 1-1 at home to Dundee United as Miltiadis Dimogiannis (who is leaving in January) scored with twelve minutes remaining. The side did manage to defeat St. Mirren 2-1, St. Johnstone 4-0 and Hibernian 5-0 to maintain the unbeaten run.

We picked up an excellent single goal victory away to Benfica when Hervin Ongenda scored on twenty five minutes while we eased to the League Cup semi finals, beating Partick Thistle 5-2 in the quarter finals at Ibrox, Stephen Bell scoring a treble.


So despite dropping points against Dundee United, we still have a ten point gap ahead of the second placed Terrors while rivals Celtic are sitting in third and two points behind United. Only forty eight goals have been scored in our opening twelve league games, keep that up and the 100 goal barrier will be beat with ease.


Attacking midfielder Maximilian Meyer has been named Player of the Month for October as the replacement for Fraser Aird (injured on international duty, pretty much ruled out for the season) scored three goals in four games and produced some quality performances - his team mates Ryan Gauld and Miroslav Zoranovic came second and third.


Full back Billy McCabe has scooped the Young Player of the Month award this month as the twenty one year old has turned in a number of eye-catching performances over the month and the other full back, Elias Arias came in just behind McCabe in second place.


I've been named October's Manager of the Month despite seeing my champions for the past seven seasons (soon to be eight? nine? and then ten? Who knows?) drop points for the first time this season, in a draw with Dundee United but we did manage to win the other three games.

Two more friendly games were arranged as I concluded the calendar year in charge of the Brazilian national team.

On a drizzly Friday night we hosted Andorra in Teresina (PI) and emphatically (as expected I suppose) defeated them seven goals to nil. Goals from Carlao, Neymar, Gabriel Barbosa and Fabricio had us four up at half time before Neymar added his second and Barbosa struck two more to complete his hat trick and our sixth and seventh goal of the night.

Four days later the side headed to Joao Prssoa (PB) to host Northern Ireland and we eased to a two nil victory against the Ulstermen thanks to a goal in either half. Striker Gabriel Barbosa opened the scoring on sixteen minutes before winger Fabricio added a second on fifty one minutes to complete the scoring.

The penultimate month was one to remember as we went through the month unbeaten and conceded just the one goal in the process. Three league games were played this month and they saw us win away to Inverness four nil, away to Motherwell six nil and home to Livingston five nil.

We also played two Champions League group games and won them both without conceding a goal, both at Ibrox - first Benfica were defeated four nil in a sensational performance and then we edged out Valencia thanks to a single Jairo Riedewald goal while in the Scottish Cup, the side defeated Hearts thanks to two goals from Miltiadis Dimogiannis, who, as you know, is departing in January.


We are starting to run away with it as those three wins (without conceding a goal) has seen us move fourteen points clear of second placed Celtic and we've only conceded five goals this season which is remarkable while we've already put in sixty three goals.


Ryan Gauld has been named Player of the Month for the month of November as the twenty six year old left winger, who has been stunning since snapping him up a few seasons back, put in some scintillating performances and helped himself to two goals in three appearances while his team mate, the soon to be departing Miltiadis Dimogiannis, came third.


Left back Elias Arias has scooped the Young Player of the Month as the nineteen year old has been an inspiring signing for the club since joining in the summer for just shy of £6m. Right back Billy McCabe came in just behind in second place while St. Johnstone's Paul McDonald, on loan from Rangers came third.


And the last piece of news this month has seen me named Manager of the Month once again (yeah, I've truly lost count on how many of these I've won) but I guided the side to three wins from as many games, scoring fifteen goals in the process and not conceding a single goal.

Five Scottish Premiership games were played as twenty twenty concluded and the unbeaten run continued as they managed to defeat Aberdeen 3-1 at home, Celtic 3-2 away, Hearts 4-1 at home, Dundee United at home and Ross County 5-0 on Boxing Day in a game that saw Hervin Ongenda strike four times.

We also concluded our Champions League group, going down to a 3-1 defeat away to Manchester United to finish second in the group iirc.


The free scoring champions now find themselves nineteen points clear of second placed Celtic and with a much superior goal difference to them too as we have ended the first half of the campaign undefeated and looking good for an eighth consecutive league title.


Hervin Ongenda has been named Player of the Month after the twenty seven year old hit a rich vein of form this month and helped himself to nine goals in only five games.


Yet again I have been named Manager of the Month for December as I've guided the side to five victories from as many games, including a three two victory away to bitter and fierce rivals Celtic as Hervin Ongenda fired a hat trick at Celtic Park.

It's been a perfect start to twenty twenty three as we won all six games this month, including four more wins in the league. We picked up a two one win at St. Mirren on New Years Day before defeating St. Johnstone five one, Hibernian two nil and Inverness CT two nil as well.

The side advanced to the next round of the Scottish Cup, thumping Partick Thistle six nil in a game that saw Barrie McKay fire home a hat trick while we also advanced to the final of the League Cup, beating Hibernian two one at Hampden Park.


Can I say that the league has been won yet? With fourteen games remaining, we find ourselves twenty one points clear ahead of second place Celtic as we've been scoring goals for fun this season - netting 90 times in the twenty four games, conceding just eleven.


Elias Arias has scooped the Young Player of the Month award as the nineteen year old has shown how good a player he is in the last four appearances.

I'd thought the comments had died George because of how easy this save had become but I still appreciate every one I get. This season has been a remarkable one because of the amount goals we've scored already and the season is nowhere near finished.



February saw us play four Premiership matches and we managed to win them all, without conceding a goal in the process. The month started with a six goal home success over Motherwell in a game that saw Max Meyer fire a hat trick, Livingston were beat four nil at the Energy Assests as Jairo Riedewald fired a treble and then Aberdeen and Hearts were both defeated two nil and three nil away from home.

We also returned to Champions League action this month with our First Knockout round first leg game at home to Arsenal and we defeated them one nil through a Hervin Ongenda goal with twenty minutes remaining and then we progressed in the Scottish Cup, beating Dundee United at Ibrox.


Because of another excellent month, we have officially qualified for next seasons Champions League and have beaten the one hundred goal barrier with ease. We sit twenty seven points ahead of second place Celtic and we're closing in on another league title.


Barrie McKay has been named Player of the Month as the twenty eight winger scored four goals in as many appearances and his team mates Jairo Riedewald and Predrag Opsenica came second and third respectively.


Once again I have been named Manager of the Month as I've guided Rangers to four wins from as many games.

Four league games were played in March and we managed to win them all, first March started with a four goal demolition of fierce rivals Celtic as a hat trick from Hervin Ongenda in the first half and a second half goal from Barrie McKay meant we were Champions once again. The side then went on to defeat Dundee United four two, Ross County three one and St. Mirren three nil.

The side managed to win the League Cup thanks to a SEVEN ONE hammering of bitter rivals Celtic as yet again Hervin Ongenda hit a treble against the Bhoys - Jairo Riedewald, Miroslav Zoranovic 2 and Johan Olausson were also on target. We also progressed to the next stage of the Champions League on away goals despite losing the second leg to Arsenal three two.


So once again we are Champions of Scotland much to my delight and this season has been pure simple, we currently sit a staggering thirty three points clear of Celtic who have all but secured second place as they're fourteen clear of third placed Inverness. It's looking like St. Johnstone will be relegated to the Championship.


Young left back Elias Arias has been named Young Player of the Month for the third time (iirc) this season after producing a month of consistent form and he's been quality since joining the club in the summer from Real Madrid's B team.


And yeah, I have been named Manager of the Month once again after guiding Rangers Football Club to four victories from four games, including a four goals to nil hammering over Celtic at Ibrox in a game that saw us wrap up another league title.

Two more friendly games were played as we prepared ourselves for July's Copa America as we faced two games against "poor" nations as Bermuda and Cook Islands were our opposition - two more games have been arranged in June and they're against Cape Verde and Tonga as we look to prepare ourselves for the competition.

The first game was a trip to Bermuda as we picked up a well deserved four nil win at the National Stadium in Hamilton thanks to four first half goals as Neymar, Roni, Pacoca and Gabriel Barbosa found the back of the net.

Four days later and the side travelled to the Tereora National Stadium in Rarotonga to face the Cook Islands and again Brazil won the game four nil but this time it was because of four goals from striker Gabriel Barbosa as three of the goals arrived in the second half.

The Copa America group stages has pitted us against Peru, Colombia and the United States of America under twenty three side, we should be at least progressing from the group stages. The Brazilian FA want the competition. Pressure is on.

Three league games were contested this month as our unbeaten league form continued. Our first game of the month was mid-way through as we trounced Inverness five one at the Caledonian Stadium before defeating Hearts two nil at home and drawing away to Celtic.

Our run in the Champions League continued after seeing off Barcelona in the quarter finals (won 1-0 at home, lost 2-1 away) on away goals and the first leg of the semi final saw us defeat Atletico three one at Ibrox, Celtic were also defeated two one in the Scottish Cup semi final.


Another remarkable season is coming to an end as yet again we have went over the one hundred points total much to my delight while we've also found the net one hundred and twenty nine times (in the league only) and haven't yet lost a game. Relegation to the Championship will be between St. Johnstone and Livingston.


And yet again I have been named Manager of the Month after guiding Rangers Football Club to three wins from four games, drawing one, against Celtic.

Just two more league games were remaining in the twenty twenty two/twenty twenty three season and they were at home to Hibernian who we defeated two one and away to Dundee United which ended one all as Ryan Gauld's goal, eleven minutes from time, ensured we went through the league campaign unbeaten.

Rangers advanced to their second Champions League final (iirc) under my management after winning one nil (four one on aggregate) away to Atletico Madrid and then managed to defeat Chelsea one nil in Lisbon thanks to a Geoffrey Kondogbia own goal in the third minute of second half stoppage time. We also managed to win the Scottish Cup, beating Raith Rovers three nil in the final with all the goals arriving in the second half.


With another campaign now officially over, we have once again won the league while Celtic have yet again secured second place and we'll be joined in the Champions League next season alongside Inverness while Dundee United, Hibernian and Hearts will play in the Europa League, while at the bottom, St. Johnstone have been relegated.

I was searching up new FM websites to come across and saw your story on the site - I saw you were Rangers so had to have a read! I'm a big fan, having been a season ticket holder for the past three years.

You've done fantastic, especially winning the UCL a few seasons back. I managed to do it on 13 and found it near-impossible to replicate thereafter.

How financially secure are Celtic? And do they have a squad capable of challenging you in the near future? Do you think you can turn Rangers into a club of high calibre players like the Madrids of IRL?

Fantastic mate, as Johno said, its nice to see that annoying away goal rule play its part on your side!

We played our last two friendly games against "poor" opposition as we prepared ourselves for next months Copa America as we faced Cape Verde and Tonga.

Cape Verde were first up in Curitiba (PR) and we defeated them three nil as Fabricio opened the scoring on twenty three minutes and then Gabriel Barbosa doubled the lead five minutes before half time before the same man made it three nil on sixty three minutes.

Just four days later I took the national team to Tonga and we picked up a four nil win thanks to four second half goals. Pacocaa opened the scoring five minutes into the second half and then the same man doubled the lead, late goals from Neymar and Sergio Etges made the result more convincing.

Another impressive season What are your training and youth facilities are like?

The club currently have excellent training facilities and top youth facilities Johno but yet, we're not producing many quality youngsters.



With another season upon us the pressure remains at the board expect yet another league title and as usual, I'm confident that can be delivered. This season I've been backed with a transfer budget of just over thirty eight and a half million and an excellent wage budget too and I'm not even sure if a dent will be put into the transfer budget.


Nine friendly games have been arranged in what is a busy pre season program and things will start with a trip to Toluca that will be televised before heading to the Republic of Ireland for a three game tour against Shamrock Rovers, Cherry Orchard and Bray Wanderers.

We will then travel to French(?) duo Aries-Avignon and Amiens before facing Jeonbuk and then Welsh club Cardiff City, our pre season program will conclude with a trip to the United States of America to face Chicago Fire. The assistant manager will be in charge of the friendlies, as per usual as I'll be on Copa America duty with Brazil.

Its good to see the budget rising year on year buddy, I'm tempted to play a Hearts game, without a story and just see how it pans our over the years

It's mainly down to me being tight Dan as I haven't really "splashed the cash" at the moment and have always made a profit from sales bar the opening season in League One. I've to admit, Hearts would be a good challenge to do on this version and probably the next too, depending on who they sign in the summer IRL.



The group stages of this years Copa America pitted us against Peru, Colombia and the United States under twenty three team and I was disappointed that we couldn't win the group but at least we advanced to the quarter finals after two wins and a defeat.

A thirty sixth minute goal from experienced winger Neymar was enough to see off Peru in a game that saw us lose Sandro but thankfully it was nothing too serious but three days later we crashed to defeat against Colombia before two first half goals from Doria and Roni saw us defeat the States U23 side.


The quarter final pitted us with Paraguay and a tough game saw us advance following a two one win. PSG striker Gabriel Barbosa gave us a twenty second minute lead but Paraguay levelled before a sixty eighth minute penalty from Neymar sent us through to the semi finals were a small task of Argentina await..


We are in the final of the Copa America after winning a seven goal thriller against Argentina as Roni fired home two, an own goal and Gabriel Barbosa scored for the Brazilian's while Argentina's goals came through Lucas Ocampos and Rodrigo Coca who scored twice in the final twelve minutes.


FINAL TIME and we faced Colombia, the side who had defeated us in the group stages, but this would be different as we'd power to a three one win as all the goals had arrived in the opening half. Attacking midfielder Roni and winger Fabricio had put us two up inside the opening quarter of the game but Colombia pulled one back on twenty five minutes before Neymar's third(?) of the competition sealed the trophy.


Following the success in the Copa America, Brazil have rose ten places in the World Ranking's and are now sitting in third place.

Eight players arrived at the club in the close season with only two or three are expected to be first team players while the rest will be squad players. Fresnel Ngoyi was our first signing as he joined from PSG for just under seven grand before young goalkeeper Ivica Zajec signed from Lokomotiva for £3.2m.

As the transfer window officialy opened, three players joined on free transfers and they were Cheik Sylla from Lyon, Luis Gatica from PSG and Juan Martin Marinelli from Dutch side Ajax. Calum MacLean (who had made three appearances on-loan at Celtic) returned to the club from Liverpool for £6.25m, fifteen year old Mehdii Khosravi came from Gladbach and Agron Bello, a young shot stopper, arrived from Mainz.

Five players said their goodbyes this summer.

Back-up goalkeeper Darren Moran headed to Juventus for £7m, attacking midfielder Maximilian Meyer headed back to Germany as he signed for Dortmund that saw us recieve £13.5m, central defender Ludek Kovarik cost Benfica £10m, Gladbach signed Johan Olausson for £4m and the last depauture saw Maurizio Sacchi cost Porto £8.25m as we brought in just over £42.5m this summer.


Our busy pre season program was a successful one as we won all games bar one as all games were played from Ibrox this summer.

The "program" started with a two goal in at Toluca before a successful three game tour of the Republic of Ireland in which we defeated Shamrock Rovers, Cherry Orchard and Bray Wanderers. The side then defeated Aries-Avignon and Amiens 4-1 and 6-0 respectively.

A trip to Jeonbuk was next and that was won three one before a trip to Cardiff came in our penultimate friendly and that was also won three one thanks (just like the Jeonbuk game) to two late goals and then pre season concluded with a 0-0 draw in Chicago.

It's been a one hundred percent start to another title defence as we won are opening five league games as the campaign started with a five one win at Hibernian, our first home game of the season saw us defeat Aberdeen five nil. Dundee United were beat three one, Livingston four one and Ross County three one.

We also started our run in the League Cup in the second round (for some reason) and we defeated Albion Rovers twelve nil as Hervin Ongenda hit a hat trick, Luis Gatica scored four, Barrie McKay fired home a double while Juan Martin Marinelli, Miroslav Zoranovic and Ryan Gauld were also on target.


Yeah so we're top of the table after picking up five wins from our opening five games and scored twenty goals in the process, Celtic are in second place and have a game in hand. Livingston are bottom and win-less after their opening four games.


August's Player of the Month has been won by Barrie McKay as the twenty eight year old has started the season with five goals in five games and his team mates Miroslav Zoranovic and Fraser Aird came second and third.


Young full back Elias Arias has been named Young Player of the Month for the opening month of the campaign as the twenty year old has produced consistent performances over the opening month while new shot stopper Ivica Zajec came third in the awards.


I've won the first Manager of the Month award after starting the season with a one hundred percent record (so did Celtic but I started with five wins, them four) as I guided the side to five wins from five games, including scoring five goals vs. both Hibernian and Aberdeen.

Wow 12-0! Cracking start

It was an impressive cup victory Johno but I didn't expect to hit double figures against Albion.



On the International front, September produced two friendly games against Nigeria and Egypt.

And first up we faced Nigeria at home and defeated them four two in Campo Grande and despite conceding after only three minutes, Fabricio equalised on twenty minutes as the sides went into half time level. Further goals from Gabriel Barbosa and Sergio Etges put us into a three one lead, Nigeria pulled one back in stoppage time but their was still time for Choquito to add a fourth goal.

Our last friendly game (I believe) of the calendar year took us to Egypt and two goals from Gabriel Barbosa saw us run out two nil winners.

Yeah and only two more Scottish Premiership crowns need to be won before I (more than likely) consider my future Dan.

We failed to win the European Super Cup as Manchester City won two one, Luis Gartica scoring our goal but the Champions League group stages started with a three two win away to Turkish side Besiktas and we also progressed to the fourth round of the League Cup, beating Airdrie four one.


Still top with a one hundred percent record after winning all of our opening eight league games, scoring thirty times an conceding just the six so far. Livingston remain bottom of the table and win-less.

Believe it or not Dan, we've played Manchester City three times and they've won them all but it's all about wrapping up league title nine and ten in a row.



October saw us begin our qualifying group for the 2026(?) World Cup as we picked up four points from the opening two games.

The opening group game saw us host Colombia and we defeated them three two despite going behind on six minutes but goals from Joao Jose, Neymar and Gabriel Barbosa saw us take a three one half time lead. A second of the night from Victor Ibarbo halved the deficit but we held on.

Just a few days later we headed to Argentina and despite being the better side, we could only manage a point. Erik Lamela opened the scorng for the Argies but Neymar levelled from the spot.
