In Spain, El Desmarque are reporting that Sevilla have rejected a €14m bid (from Everton) - they don't have a replacement lined up and are focussed on preparing for their cup semi-final against Atletico Madrid tonight.

Michu.

He normally plays behind the striker, I think that's where Laudrup likes him anyway.

And that Roland Lamah guy.

I thought he was a winger?

Well, either way, there's no guarantee that he'll want to spend the next few years pumping millions of pounds into QPR and lining the pockets of overpaid millionaires. Portsmouth fans probably didn't think their owners would get up and leave them fucked, but they did. I don't want to keep going on about this, I just find it a bit unsettling given the nature of their spending. I can see why they're doing it, and it might work.

Portsmouth's finances were extremely questionable. Gaydamak snr was getting convicted for arms dealing during the whole crisis. They've since been 'sold' to a bunch of randomers with seemingly no money.

Played behind the striker in a few games at first but has been playing up top.

Also there more chance of going to the moon on a hoover than Wenger signing anyone.

Laudrup has seen decent production with Michu up front and De Guzman playing behind him so I'm guessing that's how it'll be. He's also better there instead of playing CM imo, they have about 3 decent CMs to rotate into those two central mid spots.

BBC Midlands Today understands Birmingham City have accepted an offer from Stoke City for goalkeeper Jack Butland, who will return to St. Andrews on loan for the rest of the season. Birmingham are still hoping to get another couple of Stoke players on loan as part of the deal as well.

Spanish striker Xisco seems to be finally departing Tyneside for good.. Linked with a return to Spain via Cordoba in the second division, ESPN sources understand Newcastle are finalising the player's release from his current deal which has six months to run.

Butland rejects a move to Chelsea because he won't play and then heads to Stoke.

Begovic must be off in the summer.

More chance of getting ahead of Begovic and Sorenson than Cech and Courtois anyway tbh

Maybe De Gea to Barca and Begovic to Man Utd?

And Courtois to Atletico as part of a swap with Falcao......

How does that make any sense for Chelsea who were interested in a keeper?

Because instead of paying 50 million for Falcao they can pay closer to 35.

And lose a keeper who's on the road to becoming world class, aged 20.

I hope it doesn't happen, that's for sure.

They won't bankrupt the club provided they can sell these players who are coming in if they do get relegated.

They still won't anyway.

Fernandes is rich, but it's the Mittal's that are truly minted round that way.

Thats definitely not going to happen!

But even if Chelsea get rid of Courtois then there is still plenty of time for them to find/buy a potential replacement for Cech who will be playing for Chelsea for another 5 years minimum.

According to our colleagues on BBC Radio 5 live, David Beckham's press conference is behind schedule because the former England captain is being taught to read his opening statement in French. Sacre bleu. We could be here a while.

A journalist asks Beckham to speak one word in French and he opts for Bonjour. She giggles. That's understandable. The midfielder confirms his wife (Mrs Victoria Beckham) and his children will remain in London while he is in Paris.

He's pulled already.
