The only actual 'source' I've seen for the offer is the Daily Mail. Everywhere seems to have picked it up from there. Utd just said they rejected a bid, but going by Utd fans logic over the past few days, that could be another 'smokescreen'

It's crazy how spanish medias have managed to install that story to the point that the BBC quotes the Daily Mail to milk it.

This would also benefit Everton, who have a 25% sell-on clause of any future transfer fee above the £27m the Toffees sold him for. So if United sell Rooney for £57m then Everton will get 25% of £30m
