Fellaini and Carrick aren't world class, and I don't think de Gea is there quite yet. When you describe someone as 'world class' it should mean they are one of their best in their respective positions in world football. Robin van Persie certainly is and Rooney is on top form.

You can't claim Cazorla is world class and Carrick isn't after last season.

I'd have Rafael, Van Persie and Rooney as world class and all and any of De Gea, Vidic, Carrick and Nani depending on form, fitness and what ever else (maybe Vidic is past his sell by date but time will tell).

Compare that to Bayern for example. Neuer, Lahm, Dante, Alaba, Schweinsteiger, Martinez, Ribery, Müller for certain and as good a case for Götze, Robben and Kroos as any and thats even with missing really obvious players probably and its pretty obvious what Moyes is getting at regardless of the number he puts on it.

It's a pointless debate though because everyone's criteria of world class is different so any arguments about it just descend into pointless quibbling over what definitions we're all using.

Rafael is easily in the conversation as one of the best in his position. Who is outright better than him? Lahm is a given. Alves Zabaleta are at least debatable, Who else? Pizczeck?

Put it this way, you'd probably argue Suarez is world class and Rafael is a hell of a lot closer to being the best right back playing the game than Suarez is to being the best striker.

And Nani I said top form, which is United player of the year form. Admittedly the water is muddied because there's a lot of players who aren't wingers who play out wide (Siva, Mata, even Ronaldo) but as classic wingers go there's not many better than him.

Rafael is good, he's improved a lot but he's got a hell of a lot to be called world class. Don't give me that Suarez bullshit either. Just cause there's not many world class right backs (if I'm honest Lahm is the only candidate that really stands out) doesn't mean any half decent right back is world class.

And Nani is wank, he's had one half decent season if that

World Class in the context you are using is utterly devoid of meaning. It is a tag that should only be given to someone who has retired and shown they can can compete with the worlds best in his chosen position.

Coleman is easily becoming one of the best RB's in the league.

It's hard comparing generations, but would you say your world class Rafael is as good as let's say Carlos, Maldini, Lahm etc? I know I mentioned 2 left backs in there but that's just cause I'm not going to lie, I'm struggling to think of many right backs names at the moment. The kid is good, but he's got a long way to go.

Suarez would also be a fair bit behind your Ronaldos, Rauls etc but I believe he's a lot closer to their status than Rafael is to his competition.
