Hi guys.
Firstly, I've been playing FM for over 10 years and have regularly used graphics packs and things from this site, and I know where they're meant to go etc, so I hate the fact that I'm asking the sort of questions I've seen hundreds of times on this site!

So I recently got an SSD, and clean installed everything back onto my computer, putting Windows 7 on the SSD. For the first time ever I used Steam to download the game, I've always used the CD before. So FM14 is installed on the SSD.
I've put the My Documents folder on the original HD folder however.
Despite this FM has created a folder on SSD C: \ Users \ Username \ My Documents \ Sports Interactive \ FM14
As well as the previous data I've restored to my HD, which is where the My Documents library actually is.
ie, All the graphics packs, and data I had were on the HD, where they always were. However, FM14 couldn't find them. So I thought I'd try copying them into the new SSD directory. Still no luck.
I've managed to get my save games to work by placing them in the SSD directory, but I just can't get graphics to load, or the game to find any editor data.

The only issue I can think of, is that the My Documents folder on the SSD seems to constantly changing itself to Read Only for some reason, but surely FM would still read the data to load into the game?

I suspected an incorrect config file might be the issue when I couldn't load any editor data at the start of a new game, but it looks to be a bit more complex than that now?

All help greatly appreciated!!

Try changing the directory in Preferences

No problem, its quite a common problem people have and one of those that seems so obvious once you know.
