Are you playing with real world mode or something and getting confused?
You shouldn't set a future transfer with a date in the past (as in before todays date) because then the automoderator will automatically finalise the transfer when the date passes.
@Footygamer In the database of the game, the player is still in Fatih Karagümrük, but since he is in Machida in the database of the site, he is still in his former team Fatih Karagümrük in the game. When I edited this as a future transfer the issue was resolved

No I play in original mode, you can try if you want, open a career with or without data update and you will see that the player is still in fatih karagümrük. In the editor I see the player at machida but in the game he is at fatih karagümrük.
